so yesterday i went to the dealer with my dad 2 go look at some evo 9's because he wants a sports car now, and i told him 2 just go test drive it and see how he felt about. he's thinking of getting another carrera, but he doesn't like the look of the new ones. (rick case mazda/mits/hyundai in gwennette). i test drove the evo 9, and i must say it's very nice. the interior is better than the evo 8's interior. overall, i would give the car a 9 out of 10 for fun factor, and they are now 33k for a ez/es base model, and the most expensive one was 38k. then i drove the ms3, and i was pretty shocked because it was alot better than i thought. the only downside the 2nd gear safety net/traction control or whatever it is. i think the number claims of what magazines are saying are a little off because it felt like a low 5 sec car to get to 60mph( i think the mags are quoting it at 5.6 to 5.8). i test drove the grand touring package one, and i thought it was ok. the hids aren't that great, and im not a fan of leather, but the interior is also nice. i would prefer the sport package one because i like the seats better, and im pretty sure the leather, sunroof, and what not adds about a good 300 to 500lbs to the car, if not more. my dad test drove the evo9 and liked it, but he said he wouldn't like it as a daily driven car. he liked the ms3, but he thinks he's 2 old 2 drive it, and he really liked the sti(didn't test drive this because of a time frame we had). he said the same about the sti, as the evo, but he loves the sound of the sti. im thinkin it has 2 do something with that boxer engine sound? oh well, just thought i would tell u guys. the ms3 gets a 9 out of 10 for me, and i would pretty much call it even with evo 9 other than it's slightly slower, and the evo can out handle it. also, riding in the sti was fun, so overall, 3 great cars in my book.
