MS3 Best Price?

I am looking at a new 2008.5 white Mazdaspeed 3 Sport model at a dealer with 150 miles on it. It is bone stock. The dealer is asking invoice, about $21,800. Is this a good price now the 09's are out? Do you mind sharing what you paid for your speed3?

Thanks.

I got quoted around the same price. I would say that's good but I would wait 'til some more people put in their thoughts.

i can't believe you'd get it for under invoice...

are you sure you don't want a GT??? ; )

just curious, are you putting anything down and/or trading anything?

MS3 Best Price

Well, the GT has alot of nice options for not alot of money, but I am really not that interested in the BOSE stereo, and I am ok with the regular headlights. I have a 2008 Nissan Versa to trade in which I paid $11,500 cash for as a loss leader, and the dealer has offered 12K for this trade. I am financing the difference, $11,800 (including tax license, etc.) until one of my CD's matures next month, then I will pay it off cash.

I am not sure about the white color, but then the color is not that important to me. This is the last 08 this dealer has, and they want to move it.

Thank you for your replies, Jeff.

Got mine $300 under invoice.

i saw on the news paper.... a 2008.5 ms3 sports was $20.995.00 dat was about 1 month ago, i accept dat prize from ur dealer. but i think u could just a lil better than dat prize.i pay mine for $23.000.00 with the tax when 08.5 just came out......................

I don't know where you live but there's a red '08 MS3 GT on cars.com with about 780 miles for $20,900 in South FL. I'm sure you could bargain that down a little more. And there's also a black '08.5 GT with 3,400 miles for $20,995 in central FL.

Update

I went to pick up the white MS3 Sport model last night for the $21,800 price, and the dealer tells me he ca no longer honor this price. It appears they sold 3 Speed 3's yesterday, after having not sold any in several weeks, so he thinks he can do better than invoice. He tells me he will talk to the owner today, and call me if he can do the deal. (piss)

I got my 2008.5 sport that was sitting on the show room and had 5 miles on it for 22458 OTD :) and that's in S.F. Bay Area CA. This was also about 3 months ago when the 08.5 just came out.

New MS3 Sport for 21,398 minus TTL in SJ, CA. ^ for price above OTD, price of car would've been high $19k which is a steal.

man the speed is getting cheaper now =p

i got my GT for 24K and that was a steal back then.

alot of people that paid too much for the speed3 don't believe it when other people talk about the prices they paid for there speed3's. I paid $23,5xx out the door for my GT model. So I think you would be getting a pretty good deal for the base model. How much would it be out the door?

i dont think anyone has paid TOO much for a MS3. it is such a sweeeet car. people do pay too much for a prius though. ( dealer penetration)

I here you! When I got my 2007 Sport (in May of 2007) it was 24.5K out the door. You could barely get less than MSRP for a speed 3 then.

Prices Are Falling

I picked up a 2009 MS3 GT in White for $23,142 today -- below invoice. Was offered the same for a gray one at another dealer and that included the $200 autodimming mirror upgrade. North Texas dealers have a lot of these cars.
I also looked where I live in Central Texas; the best I did there was $23,450.
According to Consumer Reports, the current invoicing on these cars (the 2008.5 anyhow) is $23,260, but there's about $500 in dealer holdbacks, bringing that down to $22,777.
I have heard through friends in the auto business that very few people except for auto dealer GM's and higher exactly what dealers can extract from the makers. I doubt that my dealer made only $400 on the car I bought, but that's what the available numbers work out to.
Happy hunting!

I bought my 09 White MS3 GT for $23,000 before tax, title, tags, and 'processing fee.' It's good to buy at the end of Q3!

2008.5 MS3 Well I guess I got screwed. I paid 28k OTD for a Crystal White Mica GT w/ NaV, autodim mirror, mats, satin gas cap, fancy leather, extended warranty, and GAP insurance. I still think I got a good deal!

(dance)(omg)
