Does that mean it will be available at dealers? Or does it mean it will be available for pre-order? I'm also looking to put a deposit down on a MS3 that is supposedly going to be built in April for June delivery. Not sure if that means it will be a 2008 or a 2007.

You can E-mail Mazda, too. But it takes them like three weeks to reply!

I am in limbo with regards to whether I should wait till the summer or get the car next month. What do you guys think?

I think your better off buying one now, because if the 5,000 in North American do not sell fast, there is no way mazda will release another model year and do what they did to themselves with the Speed6's however It would not surprise me if Mazda prodeced the 2008 Speed3's for other global markets

They have sold fast. All the ones I test drove are sold and 2 of the 3 my dealer has on order are sold, mine being one. They will be releasing at least one more years worth so don't worry about it if you want one. There will be more.

I just put down a deposit for a June car.

No biggie, I just went out at lunch and put down a deposit on a Black GT(April build should get here by June/July). I was on the fence between Silver, Black and Cosmic Blue. I was hesitant to go with Cosmic Blue since I have not seen one in person. And since I already own a Black 3, I'm trying to change the color from Black to Silver. Not sure if it will happen. My dealer said that Mazda already pulled the cars from his order system. There was a Cosmic Blue GT also available in the same time frame. Anyone have any good picts of a Cosmic Blue. I'm afraid it would be too "blue".

They are sitting outside dealer lots. You can get them for about $4500-$6000 cash back after negotiating the price. Check out Mazda's website and search for Mazdaspeed6 incentives. Basically you can get one for the same price as a Speed3 or better, ymmv.

They don't compete with cars in the same price range. For a smidge more, you can go base Evo or STi.

It's so tempting for me to buy an MS3 now!!! I just sold my '01 5-series to buy an MS3 but after I realized that they started selling white MS3s in Canada I dont want to settle for anything but the Crystal White Pearl. So I'm gonna wait till June/July just to get this color.

It sucks because it's not for sure that they actually going to start selling the white ones here in the US, but the rest of the colors that mazda offers just don't float my boat. I hope they come out w/ some new ones. Maybe Copper or even Aurora Blue.

Overstock and undersold, basically the people that they targeted in the market are not willing to pay 10,000 more then a regualr six. The same thing would have happened with the 3's if they made them AWD and tried to sell them for 29k, it would just miss its target audience, sure you draw in a few enthuasists and it is a great car however if you produce 10k of them and can only sell a total of 5k somethings gotta give or there looking at loosing 200k so they are practically giving them away now.

I might actually get my car painted a nice cobalt blue after a few years (and scratches), because that's the color I dream of.

The GTI has crappy color choices too.
