MS3 1/4 mile Results and Traps Speeds

All this talk about mods and i have yet to see track results. Does anybody actaully drag race their speed3?

I went bone stock
2.15 60
14.2 @ 99 Missed 5th gear

2.29 60
14.2 @ 101.66

Now i have a CPE intake and have yet to go back due to the weather being over 90 everyday
 
nice runs. Def a high 13 trap. We need some more vids of speed 3's at the track.
 
whaaaaa.... you're using 5th gear at the track?

Are the MS3 6-speeds? Forgive me I dont know

I've never heard of anyone using a 5th gear on the 1/4 mile

100mph traps in 4th gear is like 6400rmp. Thats almost 1k after you start loosing power. I shift into 5th around 92-93mph

I dont have the slips as i simply throw them out. I have a rep for years on other boards, plus why would i lie about hitting a 14.2? If it was a 13.7-13.8 then ok i understand you guys want some proof. I copy pasted this from my other post about a month back.....

Night ends. Im not sure if my last run was a 13.999999 but who knows.
The car is a b**** to shift right, it bogs btwn shifts or so it seems, and im not use to it enough to be able to powershift it. All run were done with traction control off. There's no wheel hop but too much engine movment btw shifts, it makes it hard to find a gear quick, so i was shifting rather slow. BTW this is a ms3 with a airbox mod, so basically bone stock
 
I would love to see a dyno sheet for the MS3.. it should be making power over 5400RPM even the crap FS-DE makes power to 6000RPM

Those are respectable times though, I used to race a 5.0L mustang and would turn 14.2 consistantly at 96mph - can you say traction problems.

While my credibility on this forum means shhhh...I personally know Chris and he definitely has no reason to lie. He consistently put up good times, 60 ft times in his old Spec-V but he obviously had a lot more time and practice with that car.

Give it some time Chris...you know you'll get better numbers.

lol i just want to drive a 13 second car lol. For all that don't know i had a pretty modded na specv back in the day. Alot of bolt on, on drag radials it went 14.03 @ 97 with a 1.92 60 foot time. I never cracked 13s with that car. After the 14.03 run i added cams, ported the intake manifold and the engine decided to quit lol so i decided to trade it in for a trailblazzer. Neway back on topic, so i guess no1 that actaully has mods ie: tbe/i/intercooler actaully runs at the track?
 
Understandable. All i see is mods and dyno results. Dyno results do not mean anything to me unless the car is being tune. Too many variables, we have stock ones hitting 220whp-260whp lol. What i want to see is trap speeds cause its much hard to fake those. Stock we're looking at 98-101. Modded? No1 even bothers....why? I would like to see a i/tbe ms3 trap 103-105, is this out of range?
 
THe missing gears thing is no more lol. $4.99 for 2500psi epoxy and filled mount that is rock solid prevents the engine from doing a back flip upon hard shifting. I can now easily powershift are 4 shifts. The cpe intake/giant screwdriver to the 2nd cat mod/the filled mount/reline tranny fluid/Rp engine oil, and an engine that has more than 800 miles on it (i went with my temps still on haha), Should give me a 13 second pass lol. NOw i just gotta wait for the temps to drop down to the 70s and im good.

The car was stock, its was mid 80s outside, the rear mount sucks. AS for why my trap speeds varied so much...i was playing with keeping it in 4th and shifting to 5th lol. The 100.xx and 101.xx was a nice 4-5 shift. everything else was keeping it in 4th.

looked like you probably coulda went 13.9-14.0@101-102mph on the run you missed 5th gear. That's pretty good...............

On the I/TBE statement. Since those are really good amazin power adders on the MS3/MS6. I predict a 13.6-13.9sec 1/4mile run with just I/TBE on MS3.
