Modern Performance Inc will no longer sell MPI Tuner to other vendors on this forum. Do to the lack of tech support from second party vendors. We will no longer allow the MPI to be sold to members of this forum from other vendors.
1. After over one year of selling the MPI to forum vendors who then resell the units to forum members, but then do not offer any after sales tech support. We have seen this problem take place more then a few times. In the end, it has always a bad time for both the party that got the unit and for Modern Performance. The vendors seem to be more then happy with making the sale but not with the after sales help needed with tuning a car.
2. We have had forum members call and e-mails us looking for ship dates on MPI Tuners that were sold by vendors weeks and months before. Sometimes the vendors did not even place the order. Somethings we were holding the order because the payments were overdue. Sometimes we could not ship because the vendors credit cards were declind. It is a hard tight rope to walk when to try to protect a vendor and at the same time you have a vendors customer pissed off because they have been waiting for a MPI that they have paid for sometimes months before.
3. I have tried talking and working with some vendors to help to got things worked out so the end user did not have to suffer for problems that were not their doing. But I see no other way to make things better. I have yet to see the vendor come to this forum and make any kind of post at all about some of the problems. I have also ask the vendors to send PMs to the pissed off customer so they would know why the have had delays and or problems with tech support. But in the end we cannot let other vendors cause their problems to becomes our problems.
