The fact is that he as never been able to get the MPI running right in any car he tried. Big tim had to take over and fix the cars in they needed to be and then tune them right. This is a fact, where do you have the problem? You need to get with someone who can fix your car and knows how to tune with the MPI if you want it to run right.(deadhorse
Well, seeming how I drove Jeph's car from AZ to UT, I will give my opinion.
Beau tuned the car in PHOENIX, for Phoenix. It kicked ass from PHX to just before the Hoover Dam. As the altitude rose, the performance dropped. It dropped a lot. Jeph lives at about 4700 feet above sea level.
Of couse, the MPI doesn't accomodate for this.
Beau had me turn the switch way up on a higher point on the freeway. The A/F ratio was all over the place as I drove up. As I hit the gas, the A/F ratio would go wild and the car would buck and not drive smooth.
Don't blame it on Beau.
(I have seen him fix your products at his shop numerous times. It is no secret who is better out of you two.)
Don't tell people that Beau doesn't know how to tune. Hell, he personally makes the best kits on the market for Protege's. He knows how to tune said turbo kits.
Beau can tune 1000 Wheel Horse Power turbo Mustangs. He can also tune a 300 plus whp Protege'. Beau is obviously good enough for a magazine. See the December issue of Sport Compact Car.
201 hp on STOCK EXHAUST (and a Good Charlotte sticker on the back window) is what Jeph's car made.
