Hum, they point of this thread is to help people who problem on MPI.

Here is my problem, I have a used MPItuner, had problem installing it last time. Because the seller forgot to tell me its a old turbo mardule. I would need a 1k resister. Can someone show me some picture of how to do that? Or how to wire that???

Hmm, I have no pics yet, do you have any of yours? I do know whats inside, so maybe I can help ya out.

I have ask him to check for problems with his car. Even the CEL from having a bad O2 seem to not be a problem for both him and MAM. So you tell me how the hell can you tune any car with any ems if there are problems with it? Some people just do not want to be helped and some people just think they know it all because they have two or three years doing this.

I can say a CEL will not allow you to tune worth a crap.

just a very little bit. did you see on the new some guy on his sport bike ran from that pig on his cruiser bike like he was standing still and got away and they never found him again till at his house. they lost visual contact and he might have a loop hole. lol. he was in your dwg hood.

Why do you continue your attacks? If you did not attack or try and discredit me I would not be in here. It's real simple. I'm not the only one that is tired of this. More and more people are getting tired of it. I will leave this thread in hopes that you will stop your attacking comments. If i get linked again, I will have no choice but to defend myself.
 
the funny part is...if you guys worked in collaberation instead of bitching at each other, the protege aftermarket would probably be much further ahead than it is now
 
If you need the resistor outside the TM, then on the mpi theres a BLUE wire you splice it (dont cut) then get a 1.2k resistor and solder one side to that splice u made. then theres a black ground wire right next to it on the mpi, solder the other side to that. to the 2 wires and the resistor make an H so to speak.

anyone can feel free to correct me if im wrong.

Whoa an informative post in this s*** that used to be my thread. Thanks Terbow. Notice Nick, you ONLY posted in this thread after i called you out on the fact that you hadn't, and my car wasn't running right. You don't help me fix it, you blame the problem on Beau, he built it, he must have ****** it up. You instigate so much s*** throwing its ridiculous.
Its all worthless in this post anyways, its not going to be in my car much longer, i'll sell it to someone else that you're willing to talk to like a civilized person, and maybe help them out. I have no doubt that it could work great, but when you come in with a chip on your shoulder and treat me like s***, then i see no reason to keep it on my car and even try.
I had respect for you because you brought the first great EMS system to the protege, and a lot of people were having success with it. BUt little did I know that your beef with Beau would degrade the service i would recieve from you. Thats bulls***.

This should work. The white w/black, should be Black w/white.

BTW, Nick has been around since the beginning of 03 in the Protege market.

edit: are u turbod or na?


download this map jsut to see if it idles(i wouldnt run it cause u have a mp3). if it doesnt recheck your wiring. then see what your vac is at

VAc at 20 before the mpi install and 10 after. It idles all funky at 1100 rpm and smokes like crazy and I won't even let it warm up because i am afraid of hurting something. I hooked it up just like the instructions NIck sent with it.
 
yea 4.98 is ur max voltaeg for the maf. u hsouldnt be anywhere near there. thats y i said try that map incase u have a wrong setting. or the wiring shorting out or wrong.
 
yeah it idles all funky between 1000 and 1100 erraticly. Is it because the car needs to idle and warm up for a few minutes? I thoght that might be it so I let it run about two minutes and it didn't fix so I shut it off.
