If you need a map i'm sure one of us here can provide one for you. You can clear the map on the mpi so it doesn't have anything on it. You'll need to do some calibration as well when you first get it.

You need to pull up the cover and take a look at the wires. Are then still help together be tape or are they solderd?

Nah, i think he decided to use butt connectors instead heh.
Everything is soldered up just fine. I pulled the plate just to make sure over the weekend.

So how is it running non boost now with the switches off and the tune you have on it? Are you still experiencing the same issues or does it drive like it should with no problems and no codes? Or did you already yank it out and put in the AEM?

Its running ok. Last night it was running a little weird but it was super super cold outside. It eventually learned its way through it and drove fine, but the first couple minutes were interesting.

Any codes? So it has not ran like that datalog yet then? Would it have normally had a problem by now? So I take it that it still is not running like stock then if you had that issue?

It threw a code, but i think its just for my rear o2 sensor which shouldn't affect my driveability at all. Nothing as bad as the datalog. But it would still do that rapid spiking and then settle down for a second before doing it again and finally catching where it should be.

I wonder if this is the standard ECU learning or if it's something different. So what's the verdict, are you staying with it and continuing or going standalone? It's your car and ultimatly up to you. If the car has ran without similar issues longer then before, then maybe it's time to start with some boost tuning to see what the deal is. If you do want to procede, I recommend taking the purple TM wires off and putting the coolant temp sensor back to stock. This will make tuning so much easier for you, no buck to tune out. If once you turn the switch back on, then you would have to open up the TM and let me know what's in there so I can tell you if it shoud be working right or not.

I have one with a buck im tuning on the 29th, ill keep the post updated, cause his is pretty bad.

I am going to rip it out and go standalone. If i can get everything together it will ultimately be a better option for me. More controllable features, and i don't even have to worry about what the stock ecu wants to see, what it actually sees, etc.

All I can say is welcome to the learning curve. I love my Haltech though.

Heh, I figured I'd end up going standalone eventually, but i didn't think it would be this soon. I was thinking after August and emissions, but i am sure i can find someone to pass me so i'm not even going to worry about it anymore.

hmmm....MPI tunner should work, if you have problems with it, then you have issues with other stuff. I been working with the SMT6 on my friend's car and the only problems we found with it, its because of leaks or bad wires.

Do not be so sure about that. I code is a code. What is wrong with the rear O2?
