MAM should supply you with one...

whats your setup

typical sleeper set up. will be running 6 pounds. I've tried getting this from Beau many times but nothing yet...

There's got to be some P5's out there running this set up like me...

So am I, however I have not had good enough weather in the last 6 months to be able to tune the MPI properly. I'm just running rich to keep it safe till there is enough traction on the roads to do some hard pulls and get everything set up correctly.

mmm

Got a question for you guys . I have aapex catlees downpipe with the mil elimantor is that ok or do i have totake it out for the mpi install to work Please let me know i JUST THOUGHT ABOUT THIS .

What kind of MIL eliminator??? I use the one in the How to section and it works fine for me. I don't know how other ones would affect it. You need to not have any codes and the car needs to run the way it should, before you put the MPI in, or you will have problems tuning.

m

its a pony express or something like that from apex1.Car is running great i have no issues at all beside fuel cut at 9 psi on cold days . Hopefully everything will be in this week and i can get her inbstalled and tuned. I will need some help ? I am going to try to read over all instructions and manual before i put everything in Lapyop shpuld be here today and mpi today or tomorrow . Alos any suggestion on were to get yusb to serial adapter laptop doesnt have a serial port Nick said he has some coming but i though i could try best buy circuit city or something Any suggestion so i can get it local maybe . Thanks Tony

MIL Fix will be fine..the mpi reads/manipulates the primary 02 sensor...not the 2nd o2 sensor which is primarly used for emiisions.

is there still a fuel cut in the msp when you lower the MAF max voltage?

if so would the joe P FCD take care of it?

You wouldn't get a fuel cut because you are lowering the voltage. When you lower it on the MPI, the ECU will never see anything higher then what you have it at, so there's no need for a Joe P unit. This is a much safer way because you control everything, not just the MAF voltage.

so if i understand correctly, the car can't have any CEL before you install the MPI?
cuz i have one, probably thrown from my lack of cats and lack of speedometer reading (or totally incorrect alternator wiring harness)

I suppose i should fix those before i install the MPI, eh?

for the 2nd o2 sensor, which is better, the resistor fix or the non-fouler fix? I like the idea of not cutting any wires, but my buddy has the resistor fix and it's been going strong for like 2000km.

Yes, the MPI is a piggy, so it relies on the stock ECU working properly. It relies on both O2 sensors working correct, so you need to address all issues or you will have nothing but problems. I would say that if you are running no cats, use the nonfouler method. The speedo and altenator need to fixed also. If the ECU is running "funcky" in anyway, your tune will be hard to get and very frustrating.

yeah. i have all the parts to fix the prob, except for the nonfouler bits (gotta find those somewhere)
those are all to be fixed this week... reset ECU and hope for the best :|

So I just read every page of this thread to try and prepare myself for my car tomorrow...

good luck pm us we will be installing two of them this weekend and we already have done a few.

Beau took me around the block in it the other day. It pulls really good (yes)

:D I'll learn it eventually, I looked at the software a bunch last night and today. It doesn't seem nearly as complicated as i thought, so hopefully I'll get the hang of it pretty quick.
Azeli, what was it boosting when Beau took you around in it?
