Im thinking of picking up an MPI to install on the p5t. Do I have to use the secondary injectors, or can I use the MPI to control larger primaries, such as wrx 440s? The MPI im looking at doesnt have the extra injector setup, plus ive read things about cylinders receiving uneven amounts of fuel with this setup as well as needing a special type of injector that is on and off, not pulse type. Also, will the MPI give me full control over the stock ecu for timing, and can i advance timing over the stock ecu? Does this make the knock sensor useless if it isnt hooked up to the mpi?

thanks,
Charles

It does give you full timing control, and control over the main injectors, its just a bit of work to get it set up right.

you have to make sure youre not throwing a lot of codes or any codes that could alter your tune. may need an o2 clamp and you have to find the right settings for the program. like i said, i never got it running right, so i dont really know. but almost everyone who has installed them had some issues to work out. there are a few good threads that you should browse.
