Any idea what your oil pressure is at idle? I'm just curious to reference mine against other peoples' I'm at about 50 psi at idle.

Thats about right Turf- Ryans was around that, and mine, IIRC was 47

When cold it sits at 50-70, when warm, I have seen it at 30...

I got the Flexilite fan today, it weighs nothing.. Seriously...

I'm mounting it to the front of the A/C Condenser so the entire rear of the rad will be clean...

I ordered the pusher variant so I could have it mounted frontward...

Mine sits around 50 when cold, but goes right to 25 when warm at 650 RPM...

Hey while your at it, lets just throw 10 more things on the car. Oh and here's a few more....

Man you don't stop!

So is this tapped so it will come on when the temp reaches a certain point?

whats the CFM of that fan? I kinda think not having a fan on the radiator is a bad idea. then again you live pretty far north and probably wont have any 107 deg days like we do down here.

I just dont think you'll force enough air through the condensor and then in turn force enough through the radiator without some weird kind of condensor ---> radiator shroud

just a thought

Cooling fans are only really beneficial at sub 40 mph speeds.... after that there is WAY more air pushing through on its own.

Next time you need something from Flex-A-Lite let me know as I'm a dealer :-D. That and about 200 other brands now.. haven't finished updating our website yet so that hasn't been indicated.

But more importantly... it still absolutely amazes me the time and care in the car. Just insane... I know how many hours I put in to get mine where it is and how it looks etc and it's WAY too much and you are like miles ahead comparatively... it's nuts... your wife is beyond understanding too! My girlfriend is just borderline on killing me at this point :)

Later!

yeah, I know... my concern is after driving hard then coming to a stop light and sitting for 5 minutes.... bad idea

It's more than addequate and the thremostat is set quite low to come on early...

I had the car parked with the A/C on Max and the needle didn't move even thought the fan was the only air for cooling...

Don't forget, there is also a triple pass rad etc...

and actually that sub 40 thing doesn't always apply... the Peterbuilt I've been driving lately (I drive a truck once in a blue moon to fill in for my company when noone else is available) and even at 80mph the fan drops the temps... but then again, the fan is over 3 feet across... lol

I'm just playin. that and the engine holds about 10 gallons of coolant... :p

Overally I probably wouldn't worry about it a ton. I'm sure you'll keep an eye on it so no worries!

Later,

Steve
