well, welcome to the family. It all depends on what you are going for. i'd say first thing is
DaveB rings.

Welcome, I'd go with a cold air intake. A good place to start would be the for sale section of the forum, for any of your mods.

hello Kings...and welcome to the club...

just a few things....some of the other guys said it....but it really all depends on what you are going for...and what is more important to you...

one thing for sure....unless you turbo your car its never going to be a real hot thing to drive..and even then its still not the road burner that people would like to hope it is and unless you upgrade your transmission, it most likely won't hold up depending how hard you are on it........but things can help our beautiful little cars. Intake, exhaust, you could replace the cams.....that sort of thing if you are sticking with the NA route. As for looks....tint the windows as dark as the law allows.....lower the car to your liking, and when the time comes for new tires...upgrade to 17's and some good performance rubber as well. Depending on if you are into TUNES or not...you could always upgrade the sound system too. I think it was mentioned once....you may want a second job just to pay for your mods! lol

oh yeah...another thing.....which is sorta of a pet peeve with some....you called your car an MP5....well its a P5....an MP5 is an automatic assult rifle that hte military uses... (stash), just so you know.

hey Robert! Welcome to the forums! Here's my recommendations for mods. It really depends on if you want performance based or appearance based mods I think.

Performance:
1) Cold Air Intake
2) Catback exhaust (also kinda appearance related since now you have a nicer looking exhaust pipe in the back of you car...mine's bigger and shiny...ooo)
3) Shortshifter
4) Header
5) Rear Strut?

Appearance:
1) Tint
2) DaveB guage rings for your tach and speedometer, etc.
3) blackened headlights (see how-to section on how to paint your headlights - this was actually my first mod...took one day a $10 of paint and it's by far the best mod I've done for the money)
4) Paint your upper grill (if you car's not black) (also in the how-to section under JDM upper grill - also a very subtle and sweet looking mod...especially on a white p5 like mine hehe)

Welcome,

Definately get yourself some daveb rings (member on this forum) and tint. They will be the most beneficial. Some performance can come out with an intake. Dont look at huge gains, because you need a turbo for that.

Enjoy your car!!!

As far as looks AND performance, you can't beat a good set of springs and struts. I have an Eibach prokit and Tokico HP combo on my car, and I love it. The drop suits the car, and it improves the handling greatly.

You can put springs on the stock struts, but remember that they will eventually wear out.

sir nuke, you need to bust out with the fridge o beer hello....sad times when such welcomes are forgotten. ;)

yeah....I use to have that welcome in a notepad file so I could cut and paste it....it got lost in a formatt....the pic of the fridge is around somewhere......since I do come here often now....maybe i just need to work up the welcome file again.

good first mods are short shifter + kartboy bushings, cold air intake, and lowering springs (I hear the eibach prokit is good)

Hidy-ho-neighborino. Welcome, welcome,welcome. as for mods i decided to go with a jet turbine.......what a rush :p

OBX header supposedly gives the most gains per $ as far as bolt ons go. Hell, id go straight for the header ($239) and then the Eibach Pro-kit springs for around $200.
