MP5 Buying Question

Since the M3 is around the corner, dealer try to sell PR5 as many as they can. So you can really bargain for it, but the only problem is sometime you won't able to get the color and options you are looking for...

Can we really call the Mazda3 an M3? I believe there's something much better that has already staked a claim to 'M3'.

edit: sorry for the thread-jack... commence with your usual business

yeah. you're right. it might confuses some one ;)
anyways, I just like to call it M3 since mazda already has M2 and M6. Maybe those BMW owners won't be happy about it, oh well...

Thank you for all the replies everyone!

Just a few followup questions, is the P5 '03 the same as the '03.5 (mid year release) or were there two releases 6 months from each other? If so, what's the difference in cars?

Also, when are the M3's expected to come out? It may be worth it to wait for those and then get a new P5 cheap is they are still around :)

03 = roof rack
03.5 = subwoofer

I think that's it.

I like the looks of the P5 much better. With the Mazda3, you risk the first-model-year reliability issues. For the price, the P5 is the best thing out there right now. Check the threads, very few drive train complaints (which can't be said for the MSP).

the price stayed the same. Personally I think the roof rack is worth more than the sub.

The reasoning behind the 03.5 was because they were getting so many complaints about the wind noise related to the rack.

Body hasn't changed since it was introduced other than roof rack, optional roof rack, and no roof rack at all. The MSP, however, has the P5 body kit for 03 and a new body kit minus fog lamps for 03.5.

Wheels were different for 2002 but the same for 03 and 03.5. Again the MSP had changes.

Couldn't tell you about the tires.

Leather was added as an option for 2003 (well worth it IMO) and stayed for 2003.5

There could be some minor mechanical additions but I haven't heard of any.
