Wow, I can't believe you're actually using a G-TECH Pro in this debate. Those are not accurate measuring tools. Now the APEXi RSM-GP is a better measuring tool. But whatever the case the MP3 is rated as being faster by just about every car review I can think of. After reading this entire post, it's starting to become a little silly. Reminds me of some of the Subaru 2.5RS owners saying that they are faster than the WRX because they are 350 lbs lighter.![]()
Let's face it guys, the ES is a great car but..........the MP3 is better, hands down.

The G-Tech may not be accurate as other testers but the test was conducted using consistant factors with the same test equipment. An APEXi may give more accurate times with regard to actual 1/4 mile times at the strip but apples to apples seem to have been compared here.
Do you think I'm new to this board? I know that you have the FS-ZE. Did it take you long to figure out that the same car with 170hp would beat the same car with 140hp? I would hope you could beat an MP3. It would be a huge waste of money if you didn't. If it wasn't completely obvious the first time that I stated that I'd hand his ass to him(in a Pro ES or a Pro5), I'll state it again. Come on, don't be stupid. The Pro5 is obviously heavier, no contest. As a matter of fact, I wouldnt' waste my time on one. As for the Pro ES, You are wrong again, 40hp does more than make up for th 100 lb difference. If that wasn't completely clear that I wasn't talking about a BMW M3, or a Pro ES with a FS-ZE engine, I don't know how else to break it down for you.I have a 2000 ES and I you definitely wouldn't hand me MY ass, but I'm in DC. The ES can be quick with the right mods

sorry dude, you gonna need even better shocks, and sway bars then what's on the mp3 to achieve something close to it's handling. Look at you car. Just look at it. You have a higher center of gravity, and it weighs more. I'm not saying it's impossible, far from it, but you need to get BETTER then mp3 stuff to achieve the same thing.
