MP3 Springs - differences from p5s?

MP3 springs are a little lower than stock, the rates are different and i believe they are made by racing beat. the p5 springs are just stock springs.

check out the spring guide in the general protege suspension section.

i know for a fact the MP3 has racing beat springs. not sure if the MSP came with racing beat also or the mazdaspeed springs. either or.

Will the MP3/Mazdaspeed Protege Racing Beat factory springs fit on the P5?

Yes, the MP3 springs will fit. I'm not sure about the Mazdaspeed set. I bought the MP3 springs a few years back, but never put them on. Just sitting in storage.

The MP3 springs are Racing Beat correct? They should provide a slight drop if I serve correct, probably around half an inch or so? I also just read that the MSP springs lower .75", if they fit I would grab a set of these.

Anyone have either of these on their P5?

they're NOT racing beat and they're NOT the same as the MSP springs
but they DO work better on non-turbo cars

a.5 inch drop is nothing honestly
you wont even notice it, but the handling will prob be better

i would go with the eibachs, they dont drop too much,, handling is greatly improved and the ride isnt stiff at all...well compared to Ground Controls lol

Mazdaspeed protege springs are a full coil shorter in the rear than the p5 springs. They will work, but the back end sits fairly low. I have a set with about 100 miles on them for sale if anyone is interested.
