Mp3 Shifter

I have a couple of questions for the guys out there that already did this conversion.
The Mp3 shifter, is it the same height as the Mazdaspeed shifter or shorter?
Does it do a direct swap with the Mp5 shifter?

i would say yes, but your P5 shift knob wont fit the mp3 shifter.

according to the FAQ, the MP3 has a shortened stock shifter (the thicker extension is simply removed and the threading is a little different), but the MSP shifter has substantially shorter throws...I have driven both and removed the extension on my P5, so it is now I guess the same as the MP3's...The MSP's felt no different in throw length from what I could tell...
