mp3 and elise
I was just checking out the December issue on my ivory throne when I noticed a blue mp3 parked near the spine of the page. The article it belongs to doesn't specifically mention the mp3, but its relavance is a great car for under 25k.

No thats not the issue. Although it was impressive for the MP3 to hang in such good company. The R & T article from years ago that had the 12 best cars for under 25K

I think the list was

Mustang GT
Golf GTI
Camaro SS
Neon SXT
Eclipse GT
Impreza WRX
Celica GT-S
Alima SE
RSX
MP3

I can't remember where the MP3 ranked in that comparo. I have it in my magazine stash somewhere.

They posted the old pic in their new issue cuz they compare a new set of 12 best cars for under 30K. I actually started a thread on it if you do a search. The MS3 made the list. But the 3 top picks were the 350Z, Lancer Evo and Mustang GT.

How They Ranked
1. Ferrari 360 Modena
2. Lotus Elise
3. Porsche 911 Turbo
4. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII
5. Chevrolet Corvette Z06
6. Porsche Boxster S
7. BMW M3 coupe
8. Mazda MP3

that was on that article

how does that car even fit in? lol

this month's road and track is for best cars under $30K

nissan 350Z
EVO RS
mazdaspeed3
miata
civic si
cobalt ss
mini cooper S
scion tC
VW GTI
mustang GT
subaru wrx
pontiac soltice

winner goes to 350Z

Best handling cars, supposedly, and still, it was the MP3's outright speed that killed it in the comparison.

Still, very flattering that they picked it as the only FWD to test, and Brian Herta gave it mad props.
