MP3 CD's in CD Player

Hello Everyone,
I have a 2003 Protege5 and was wondering if it plays mp3's . What I am talking about is CD's that you can make on your computer . Thanks for your help and any other information you can give me will sure be helpful to me (bowdown)

no it does not play mp3 cds, yes it plays burned cds.

Just get an aftermarket deck for you may have a lot of options on it.

Umm, no MP3 ability, and normal burnt discs are even kind of sketchy as the stock decks don't really seem to like CD-R's too much. Ultimately this is what drove me to buying a new deck.

our stock decks play CDR's and RW, not bad.... my 2004 Sienna reads CDTXT, i found that really cool!

unfortunately the stocker won't play Mp3s but that's ok...you could pick up and aftermarket deck if you want. The 3's deck has an option to play MP3s, though, if I remember correctly, but there's no way to transfer to an older protege. Too much work to get it done, I think.
