MP3 BUSHINGS URGENT!!! (Experts needed)

You know, for you guys and this forum I will try what i once read on here. I am not able to find the thread where i read it though, I just looked. But, It had said, the Racing Beats "fix" for the squeek was to take off the bushings, sand down the sway bar so it's ruff and then put them back together. this does not fix the clunk, just the squeek.

This weekend I will do it, front and back and I'll tell you guys how well it works. To me it's the best way to go.

That's a good point...what about when the CLUNK?? Will greasing it prevent that too??

Oh...and the reason I will pay for the labor is to get a new set of bushings and sway bar free of charge so when I try to sell my car in a year or 2, I won't get people not wanting to buy the car because of the clunk or squeak.

the clunk is a common fear among msp or any protege owners with bigger swaybars.

evolv has developed a clunk fix kit ( located in the group buys section)
the stock mounting location for the bushings makes the bushings prematurely wear out because the bar also flexs and rotates. evolvs kit, locates the bushings and brackets outward more toward the wheels so the bar just rotates and doesnt mushroom your bushings and cause a clunking noise.

Because I don't think the teflon bushings are supposed to be greased?

uhh, did you read my post? I'm using the energy suspension grease with my OEM "E" bushings for the past 2 years and had NO problems... that's daily driving through rough roads

Haha! 2 weeks later and I still have not done it. Been very busy on my weekends. I just had someone PM me and ask if it worked, witch reminded me I had posted this (notice how I'm not one of the 2% that have not tried pot). I'll try to do it tonight and if not, I'm doing a 8hr trip tomorow and it should be a good test to see if sanding/scratching the bar works. (the road where that made the car first start to squeek because it obviously grinded the greece away). Hopefully I'll do it tonight because I'm not doing a 8hr trip without a few cases of beer at the end! haha (drinks)
