Moving to Miami Area

I am going to be moving to the Miami area in July. Can someone please give me an idea on the import tuning laws in Florida. Is there a smog or saftey check for the cars? Are there any exhaust restrictions? Anything I can find out would be helpful. Thank You.

well ur moving to the right place. welcome to the south...no saftey or smog checks down here...no exhaust limitations, except they cant be too loud..like rice loud, but judging by ur sig i bet u have better taste than a ricer does. alot of import tuners down here too, im sure ull fit right in

yea the further south you go, it seems like theres more nice cars...you should goto south beach on memorial day, ferraris, lambos, bentlys, amgs, celebrities....its craaazy

I went to south beach last memorial day and it was ghetto..... I didn't know that many black people had motorcyles..... (I did see a ton of Ferrari's and Lambos though)

Just make sure you have a good car alarm. I lived in Miami for 15 years. It's overcrowded, traffic jams galore and people always trying to steal something from your car. We're trying to move back to Florida, but not to Miami. But I will tell you that it IS nice if you're not in a serious relationship, like to party til 5am and dont mind waking up to some strange every now and then. lol

Not really. I'm black (well half actually) and used to ride my dad's bike, and I can swim too. But its not too common to see 2 to 3 hundred black riders in one place.

I lived in Miami my whole life, 31+ years. It sucks down here. The only people that like Miami are the people that didn't come from here.

Real estate is outrageously high, homeowners insurance is through the roof, car insurance is high as well, nobody is friendly, nobody can drive at least halfway decent, let alone speak english. Well at least alot of people can't.

But, if you seem to like it here then more power to you.


Stay away from South Beach, we keep that for the queers.
