motor mounts

I agree with Antonio that the stock mounts are adequate for a DD. If you race stoplight to stoplight, upgraded MM's will improve traction and shift precision due to reduced transmission movement. Regardless, some shifts will remain challenging due to a fairly stiff 5-6 return spring. The palm technique can overcome many of the issues other members have mentioned with the exception of colder climates. I am working on a video to illustrate this, as I think it could benefit many members.

I am currently up to 700 mils on my MS3 09 and even for DD the shifting is just not that great. I'm not being hard on the car this early in ownership.
Perhaps there are other factors to consider:
1) The car is still too new for the motor mounts to have broken in.
2) Maybe, one needs to learn how to properly shift or learn a new shift technique for this car. I've never heard of the "palm technique" for shifting, however I'll do a search on the subject to learn something new - thanks.

Prior to the MS3, I've owned Honda and Nissan cars with manual transmissions (past 10 years) that never had any shifting issues - but then again in stock form, they never laid down the power that the MS3 does.

For the record, I'm very happy with the car otherwise - they got many things right in the features I was looking for in a car - it's a keeper for me.

Here's to hoping that Mazda will come out with official Mazdaspeed MMs.
