motor build?

Everything on the motor is done now. Wiring should be just about done and i hope to get this car pn the dyno in the next week and a bit for a break in tune.
 
Bump car still not running quite yet. Had to get a few pins shipped in to finish up with the haltech. Shipping took a bit longer since all the crazyness in calgary with floods and all. Luckily my car is at a shop on high ground so i was good. Pictures will be up next week and i will also be putting a video up for first start up.
 
Thanks, I have it wired up so that all I need to do to remove the dash is disconnect the steering knuckle and then there are 8 bolts. Poof the dash comes out either left or right door and I get 100% access to all of the wiring if I need.

If I have a 12mm and a 14mm wrench, 10 minutes and the dash is out.

Hey brian the shop is just trying to finish the aem install and they are telling me that i need an ignition amplifier based off aem supplied instructions and wiring diagrams. I also called Aem who says i dont need one. Did you use an amplifier? Im not sure why it says this in the instructions.
 
Bump car is getting started today. Not sure about how the 505 manifold is gonna work im hoping theres not gonna be a huge vacume leak because of the fuel rail and injectors. Guess ill just have to wait and see.
 
So just trying to get the car started and realized it needs a modified cam gear. Also noticed brian mp5t is now banned which sucks because he was the one with all the info. If anyone knows how to get ahold of Brian can u shoot me a pm. I would really appreciate it.

its hard to get banned here, but if you disrespect people and act like a ass it will eventually catch up. Hopefully you'll get the info you need to finish the car and be able to enjoy it before the winter hits in about 12 weeks

Lol. Makes sence. Ya i sure hope so. This build seems to have never ending set backs for me. Not that i wasen't expecting a few setbacks but not like this. I have a mainseal leak im gonna have to deal with on top of haltech issues. The tuner has decided to also go on holiday twice during my build so they have about a week to figure this lack of spark issue out or my cars gonna be back to sitting in the shop for ages.

Just to give you a heads up the Brian you're talking about on FB is Signature Sound (powder coating guy) not the owner of MP5T. So you may have gotten confused in who you're talking to.

no, Brianmp5t is on facebook, both of us have been talking with him. Signature Sound is Brian Lawlor. MP5T is Brian Mundy....which is who we have been talking with on facebook. It's pretty hard to get them mixed up on Facebook where all you have to do is look at pics of their cars if you don't know their last name. Plus, Brian Lawlor branded himself all over his pics, if you don't see a "signature products" sticker somewhere, you're blind.
 
I was referring to the post on Mazda protege owners group and Brian Mundy wasn't apart of it. Either way, good luck with getting it up and running.
 
yeah he's not a part of any of the facebook groups, it's best to just look up his own facebook profile. But the OP posted a status update on facebook a few days ago about the current issue in which Brian Mundy(MP5T) responded from both his personal facebook profile and his "MP5T" profile. It would have been easier to just go back to that post where he commented and PMed him from there lol
 
Lol bump. So these aftermarket cam gears might be the problem. Crossing my fingers that once the stock one goes back in the new motor will fire up.
 
Got the car started finally. Massive oil leak from crankseal though so that has to be fixed. Than gonna have to figure out how to address the alternator issue.
 
What's the alternator issue you're having?

Edit: by the way, bay looks great. Keep up the good work
