Who here has the most stressful job? I work at a bank and its pretty bad when people yell at you because they can't balance their own checkbook.....pisses me off just thinking about it....but im sure someone else here has it harder.

anyone else wanna vent their job-related troubles?

Well yesterday I had to figure out why an 00 passat wagons left rear doors window was going down really jerky. Long story short 5.5hrs later I found the instrument cluster was changing the low can-bus signal sometimes...

The car had been to 3 different independent shops and 2 other vw dealerships. 2 other techs at my dealership tried to diag. it. At least I don't have to fear for my life while doing my job though.

IT work for Philip/Magnavox... People who cannot read the manual call up for such easy questions. Than they keep asking more questions. When they can read the manual and figure it out.

a stressful job.....I do....I work in a NUCLEAR POWER PLANT...hence my name....I work in the maintenance department.....I am a supervisor....I oversee a lot of work that directly effects the plants safety...AND YOURS! not to mention I am responsible for the work my crews do....we work on and with mulit-million dollar pieces of equipment every day.....

starting in two weeks we are going to shut one of our units down, and the crew I run will be disassembling one of the nuclear reactors and removing all the fuel....then we will reload it with part of the old stuff and some new fuel and put it all back together.

Stress? sure....there is stress involved....there is no room for ANY errors.

sailor, simply because you have to be everything. for engineers (me), you have to be diesel mechanic, electrician, machinist, welder, plumber, hydraulics specialist, and when things get ugly, you're your own firefighter, paramedic and sartech... and as a last resort, your own priest to confess yourself just before going in the drink....

i work for sprint over the phone, i am tech. i fix phones like when they are having probs with voice, not calling out, when the phone cant get on the web, stuff like that. most people dont get it that i cant do anything to a phone if they are on it talking to me, and that i can trbshoot it blind after the get off the phone, they have to call from a diff phone. also when people call in wanting support on a product that is not sprint related which we know nothing about and get pissed when i tell them to call the manufactuer of the products. probably the thing that pisses me off the most is when i have to repeat myself three times for someone to do something..and in the end they still didnt do it right....anyways thats enough venting for now :D

I work in cardiac recovery as an RN. I take care of people as they come out of open heart surgeries. They have a tendency to be a bit unstable. Makes for an interesting night sometimes.

I get paid $8/hour to browse msprotege.com all day. (jerkit)

ive had several... transporter for a hospital sucked the most, 5-6 Miles of fast paced walking dealing with people in the hospital which never pleasent for anyone.

Then help desk servicing 700 computers and getting paid s*** for it... having angry calls from people who have no idea what thier talking about. I had no problems imaging computers when it came time to roll out new machines every summer.

IT work is a breeze once you realize everyone is a clueless, nonsensical babbling moron, and you adjust your attitude accordingly.

I feel like a teacher for the mentally disabled.

And I wouldn't call it stressful, you know you're sitting there scratching your nuts and browsing the web 2/3rds of the time.

And oh no, I gotta click a mouse or type a command, or explain what a browser is, how hardcore is that ;)

LOL ,,

True sometimes. We basically have no model info or products to do research on. Philips is giving us the run around.... I work for CGS computer generated solutions under contract with IBM who happens to do the business with Philips. They do not pay s***. I have a second job where I work at a TV station as a part time Engineer where I watch TV and fix A/V equipment. I also design

selling cars can be stressful at times. it stings a little when people stare at you with this smug "you're an idiot salesman who i am going to jerk around" look

so true...

I make games for a living at Electronic Arts. Stressful? Sure.

Most stressful job? I doubt it. No one dies if a game crashes. :)

Being a teacher is no picnic. It is a job that you CANNOT "leave at the office." It is literarally a "full time" thing. The summers "off" are usually spent at another job because we are paid like chumps.
