They were recalled and remanufactured. I had one on my 2007. I wouldn't let it roll off the lot without one. In December of 2007 a tree fell on my car, crushing most of the car, including my moonroof deflector. I was told then what was going on with them. They were supposed to be back in stock in February 2008.
It JUST got a new moonroof deflector on last month and it's actually one of the old manufactured ones that a dealership had laying around in their stock. A new one is STILL back ordered with the collision shop that fixed my car back in December. Evidently people were complaining about wind noise with the old ones ... of course your going to have wind noise -- you have a gaping hole in your roof.
