molex connectors in door

so i put in my car stereo and upgraded speaker wiring. this car has those stupid molex connectors for the door that do not allow you to get wire by them, i ended up finding a way around that did not compromise the wiring or that connector but i must say that made it a pain in the rear. i see why they use them (easier to change the door out if needed for body work) and better water proofing however they do not allow much room for custom work.

I can't wait to upgrade my wheels. 28 lbs each might be good for a CX7 but totally unnecessary for a 3000 lb car.
But yes, connectors make sense from a Design-for-Disassembly standpoint. I guess the traditional speaker connector-only may be fading away.

yeah i had all the audio equipment (except door speakers as i had no time to take door panels off to get them before insurance company took the car, but amazon had 4 rockford fosgate punch p1 6x8 3 ways for sale for $125 so i bought those and installed them)from my old protege 5 that got hit and totaled a few months back (i acquired all the upgrades over a few years, full time college and working part time for $10 an hour you gotta buy it 1 piece at a time)

I remember those days, except I had an RX4 coupe with speakers built into the back seats. Now I have to funnel money into new counter tops and sinks; it's always something, but little by little....
