First of all I would like to thank everyone for the valuable and important information I retaind from this site. It was a great tool in deciding what parts to choose and performance specs/advice!

I am new to adding mods until I got my P5 (02 silver). My goal was to boost the power a bit and to add to the astetics. I added a KNN catback which feels like it added a good punch to the power. I was concerned about the sound which is a little loud but very deep and throaty. I added the B&M short throw TODAY which is still stiff but way tighter with MUCH shorter throws. I had a moonroof installed and added a nice tint all around.

I'm concidering the vinyl/urithain coating to protect the paint but have decided against the air intake (can anyone convince me that an intake is worth it and which one to get???).

I highly recomend this car for anyone who wants an awesome ride at a great price. My P5 was $13900 w/ 7000 miles on it and I put about $3000 of extras. What a car for $17000!!!

The day I got i back we got dumped on by rain and snow for a week and so far no drips. The company did a great job inside and out. If you in SLC UTAH look up Town and Country, they're great!

i would get an intake, personally i would get one of ebay for $45shipped, although they dont look as good as the injen.....thats if you are going to go turbo eventually...thats what i would do...

Sorry about posting this in the wrong area.
The moonroof was $1095.00 installed and I love it.
Still could use some advice about the intake: How much louder is it? Does it noticably increase the power?
Any advice would help. Thanks ALL. GREG

**** the intake man, get straight turbo, nothing like the sound of a turbo spo0lin up then the blow off valve going off!!! the power is just the minor upside to turbo (lmfao). =0P

You've got the exhaust. Now your MP5 wants to breath. Get that bulky air box out and get an intake! You'll feel a very nice increase... Believe me!

How much louder does an intake sound and is it bassy or high pitched? Any info about the sound would help. Pics are on the way!
Ps: Can't drop $4 grand on a turbo, as much as I would like to....

It's not too loud at all. Just a nice growl when the revs get above 3k. Also, when you "stab" the gas pedal, it makes a killer chirping sound, and when you shut the car off, you'll hear a 1or 2 second hissing sound. (thumb) I have a $50 ebay model and I love it. Buy an intake! It's an easy install, you'll get a little extra kick, and it really makes your engine bay look a LOT better! If you DO get an ebay intake, make sure that the seller has plenty of good feedback(obviously).

Aftermarket moonroofs are great for a little while. but about 4 or 5 years later it will start to rust. This happens because factor moonroofs are built with drain tubs that go down to the bottom of the car so any excess water can drain out. Since you are unable to put the drain tubs on the aftermarket one any excess water will just sit there and eventually start to cause your car to rust.

Injen vs Ebay is an age old topic on this forum but once I had the Injen CAI installed I could never think of putting anything else in it. Just remember that if you look into the previous threads you'll notice there isn't a significant difference in power between Injen and Ebay intakes. just go with what you like.
