Are these the ones you were making and going to sell a few months ago?

And a couple more!

looks real nice man... you opted to keep the BPV instead of use a BOV? those should preform nicely... no pipe flex = more stable boost levels

Yes these are the ones i was going to make last year.I made these and from what i have seen in person and in pics, they are the nicest out there as of yet.

Yes at the time we made these ,I opted to keep the BPV set-up because of the stalling issue. Now with the testing done and out of the way,I am going to add a BOV to the upper pipe for a dual valve set-up.I just have to decide on what valve.I had these done before Spool even started their kit,if that tells you how long i have been holding onto them. And also, these pipes were designed to only work with the Injen intake. They will not clear the factory airbox. They are made from T-6066 aluminum,2.5'',and full mandrel. They are sectioned and fit great!

very nice man... i am running open vent w/ just the HKS SSQ... it sounds great, but i had to relearn how to drive to prevent stalling... If you are unsure which valve you wanna run (based on sound) i'd suggest the SSQ... nice loud chirp.

right click and save-as... you can hear said chirp at the end of the dyno vid :D

very professional... you got welding skillz
I wish i could lay claim to those welds!
I did the engineering and sectioning and my buddy welded them up for me.
I also had another friend polish them out at his work.I can polish nicely ,but he had a bigger machine than I to do it on so it saved a lot of time.

hahah.. cheater.. :p nice design.

Still look pimp though, tell your friend he's got skillz. I wish i could weld.

Hey ,I got to use my resources!
I can weld ,but not like that!
I will be good one of these days.
I am more into body work and fiberglassing.
I just have the eye and imagination and a keen skill for envisioning things!

why does everyone say they should run an HKS? Havent you all read the walkthrough on how to use a Greddy Type-S w/o any stalling issues? It is possible people!!!

Cuz HKS is one of the best BOV out, becasue of its pull type design...not the conventional push type/piston. My fav are the dual chamber like Apexi and Blitz. HKS doesnt leak and releases the air in stages, I've been told it only leaks if the seals are old or worn out. Thats why its more expensive and a BOV alot of people use when they run high boost. I have Greddy Type S...nothing spectacular...just didnt have enough money for HKS SSQV. Plus the MSP isnt going to be boosting 30 psi or anything so Greddy will do.

You can make any BOV run without stalling...its just a matter of tunning it and finding the perfect setting....who seriously has time to sit there with a wrech testing out every single thread? TX Speed Demon did....if you think you stall with HKS talk to JDMsam (just HKS no dual BPV/BOV) and I think 505zoom has it so that it wont stall. Couple people are running HKS SSQV without stalling issues. Just have to look hard...they dont post much. JDMsam is the only guy I can think of off the top of my head. I think Its matter of adjusting it just perfect so that the spring is soft enough yet not too stiff. I think the best BOVs to get for our cars are the dual chamber BOVs...I think striker is going to get one soon...hopefully he'll report back on it. But they are pretty expensive.

Just like you said we wont be boosting any high numbers so the type-s is fine. And in all honesty, I'm willing to spend a few hours to make sure i dont stall, i dunno about you ;)

In that case its just perference...I thought you ment that HKS wont work because maybe you read a write up on how to make Greddy not stall (TX speed deomon). Maybe people dont want that whoosh sound that every single BOV makes. HKS SSQV is diffrent...it chirps (depending on what kinda car). I love that sound cuz no other BOV makes that sound.

Bottom line is Greddy isnt the only BOV that will work for our cars. If I had a HKS SSQV I would tune it and make a write up for the site...but I dont. Im sure if I did everyone would be saying HKS doesnt stall for our cars. The stalling/low RPM drop isnt a huge issue...It just takes time to get use to. I stalled out all the time with my Forge BOV...now im stall free for 5 months. Just learned not to shift into neutral at high RPMs. The thing is people need to try and stop speculating...if I had the money I would go all out trying new stuff and writing about it. I believe HKS will work...just need someone to sit down and play with it...just like speed demon did.

Not to sound like an ass...but I would like someone to try this and see once and for all if HKS SSQV can be runed venting with no stalling. PEople just hear about Greddy and thats all they get...not thinking about others like Forge, Blitz/apexi dual chamber BOVs.

Im happy with the Greddy...good price and good quality. Your right...we arent going to see crazy PSI reading anytime soon so the Greddy is a good BOV to get. There still a possibility of leaks and the piston getting stuck. Piston valves uaually require matience. But you shouldnt rule out HKS for our cars.

Not to sound like an ass but I would like someone to try it out to see if the HKS SSQV can be runed venting without any stalling problems. People read or heard greddy is the BOV that works with our cars....and never even consider forge, turboXS, turbo smart, tial and the Blitz/ apexi dual chamber BOVs. And one can argue that they are cheaper and does the job, thus making Greddy not nessisarly the best for our cars.

That is what I was kind of thinking about this conversation. You have your hardpipes and all but are they fitting on a stock Msp or do you have a front mount intercooler. One more question about the pipes is, can you make them privately for someone?
