Mitsubishi will debut its all-new Lancer sedan in the U.S. nearly six months ahead of its debut in the company's domestic market of Japan. Inside Line notes that the U.S. will be the Lancer's biggest market by far, and that the Japanese market is more interested in minicars at the moment than midsize sedans. Those two facts are the maini reason's behind the company's decision to begin selling the Lancer in the States first. The debut for the car in the U.S. is slated for early or mid next year, at which time we'll get a larger Lancer based on the Concept X and its many variants.

All that and the fact Mitsu is hurting so a rush to get new models to the states is necessary.

F'ING RIGHT! ! ! All I know is that it will be expensive, $36K - $40k, this is just peer speculation but you know...

They need to bring back the mirage coupe(peep) cheaper and was doing relatively well, nice little basic car. I like most new cars but the styles are starting to get wierd to me. I guess cause I miss the late 80's cars and the 90's car. I'm only 21 but I still remember the late 80's supra and rx 7 very well both are beutiful cars IMO even today. The new concept X doesn't do much for meredfc wht fc

I'm with you on the cnocept X thing. It's almost too mechanical, too much something. I'm sure it will be god's gift to evo fans but overall, it's not on my radar at all really.
