LEDs are going to enable car mfrs to come up with some new and original head/taillight designs.
As with most concept cars, you can pretty much through the interior out. As nice as it would be to have bucket seats in the back, we all know that's just not going to happen. Neither will the 5 pt harness belts or pretty much everything else inside the car. For those killin the car for the interior, realize it's irrelevant. As for the engine cover... clearly mitsu doesn't want to hint to the public (or competition) what's brewin underneath so they get a pass for that too. Exterior wise, this looks to be a perfectly acceptable representation of what the production car should look like. A few things may change but overall, it strikes me as a finished product. I'm not a fan of the gas lid but that's not really a dealbreaker. It would look better without the spoiler but... so would the current version. If its' functional, and you know it is, most of us would keep it on. The tail lights... I think people have a negative association with altezzas strictly because they remind them of the typical fast&furious crowd... all show, mostly no go. This design, on the other hand, adds an additional level of appeal while still being tasteful. seriously, for those who dont' like altezzas, realize why you don't like them and now look at these. They're not over the top like the kinds aftermarket companies make for the civics of the world. Honestly, the assemblies are too small to be over the top. Whenever people start bashing altezzas I ask them to imagine what an altima would look like with regular red tail lights. Booooor-ing!!
Hats off to Mitsu. Hopefully they'll pull a Nissan and come back from the brink with a bunch of kick ass cars. If this makes it to production, combined with the new eclipse, they'll be off to a good start.
