Im guessing that this has been discussed before, but good luck coming up with search terms that dont return half the board...

I know that the CX-5 Turbo models use a bigger front brake caliper. It doesnt surprise me, then, that Tire Rack specifies 17 as the minimum wheel diameter. Discount Tire / DTD still say that you can fit a 16 wheel. Did Discount just get lazy and carry over the old spec without bothering to check if it works?

Yeah, I use the OE 16" steelies I saved from a 2010 Mazda 3 with 225/70r16 winter tires. Used them on both my 2016 and 2018 CX-5s.'

OP is discussing 2019 CX-5 turbo with bigger front brake calipers. 2016 and 2018 CX-5's have smaller front calipers.

I do believe 16" wheel won't fit, but 17" maybe on 2019 turbo CX-5.

I installed 17" wheels on my cx-5 Turbo, and the front brake calipers barely clear the wheel weights, so the 16" wheels definitely won't fit.
