tired of always driving manual, I want one automatic car, I have bad knees as well, so manual in rush hour is a b****, the clutch is heavier than the rx-8 and mazda 3 as well.

a buddy has an auto rx-8. he loves it despite all the teasing about having an automatic sports car. Works well and I believe there's paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Very sweet. Fun car, too.

The performance really takes a hit with the auto in the rx-8.

no no no, I am getting the RX-8 in manual but the Mazda 6 is going to go for a auto box, hence, that is why it's for sale. I will have 2 cars

this is car is REQUIRED to be driven with a manual, no automatic tranny on the market right now can handle 9000rpm lol

they just issued a recall for the rx8, the gas tanks melt on some of them.. scary, , i am no knockin the car, but my brother inlaw at mazda has changed 4 engines in the past 2 months, on auto tranny, and now fuel tanks. most of the engine jobs though were from the user abuse.. cheap 93 octane fuel, detanates and bangs up the apexi seals, as for the fuel tanks melting... thats scary..

the whole fuel tank thing is also user abuse, mainly caused by revving the engine for an extended period of time WHILE STANDING.

if you drive like a normal sane human it is NOT a problem.

the recall is purely precautionary so the car is more idiot-proof (everything nowadays need to be idiot-proof, sigh )
