i dont see why not. last here was a huge turnout even with the threat of rain. and they said then it would be back this year. its usually early july if i remember right.

it was in early May last year. i can't find any info on it happening in 2011.

it was in Indianapolis in 2009 and 2010
i hope its still in indy this year. even if WI is ALOT closer. lol. the indy people and location work out so well. i doubt it would be such a success anywhere else.

I have gone to this since 09' and it is a great event. They were just worried about getting enough sponsers for this year. The Ray Skillman museum is really cool and it is in a nice place for the meet. We always come over on Friday and leave Saturday night after the photoshoot in downtown Indy.

I just asked xsists about this the other day. Frank had said if the turnout was poor that 2010 would be the last year, but at the end of the event he said "See you all next year" and he seemed pleased at the turnout as well. Checked the Indy RX8 club forum and didn't see anything. Indy was hella fun, I hate it here in Milwaukee LOL.

Not to try and get the midwest mazdafest closer to me in order to save on drive time but, the National Championship site for SCCA auto crossing is in Lincoln NE and there are a lot of events besides Nationals there this year. Tagging the mazdafest together with an autocross would make for a lot of fun. It doesn't have to be in Lincoln but that is the best site in the nation at the moment.

I don't think it'd be a bad place, but we need someone from here to plan it. Plenty of stuff to do in Milwaukee. The reason MWMF was in Indy is because it was organized by Frank and kinda sponsored by Indy RX8 Club and Ray Skillman Mazda.

It should be in chicago, thats pretty much middle ground for most I'd think. Could do it at the Allstate or Sears center....

downtown is such a b**** to get around though... but it would be pretty sweet to cruise Lakeshore with like 50+ cars
There will be no Midwest Mazdafest this year at Indy...We are orginizing a meet at Mid Ohio for April 9-10 while NASA is there

wow... epic fail this year. such a sad end to what could have been a epic meet. totally lame.
