Take exit 54, Braddock Road (Route 620), and take the westbound fork. Follow Braddock Road West for approximately six miles.* Pass the first entrance to the university and turn right at the stop light at Roanoke River Road. Bear right at the fork in the road. Take your first left onto Mason Pond Drive; parking is available in the Parking Deck, the last building on the right. An information kiosk is located outside the third level of the deck to help you navigate the campus.

Exit at the Fairfax County Parkway South (Route 7100). Exit the Parkway at Braddock Road, and turn left onto Braddock Road. Take exit 60 at Route 123 South, Chain Bridge Road. Follow Route 123 through the City of Fairfax, and turn left at University Drive. Take your first right at Occoquan River Lane. Turn right at the stop sign onto Patriot Circle. At the pond, bear left to stay on Patriot Circle. Take your first left on Mason Pond Drive to the Parking Deck, the last building on your right. An information kiosk is located outside the third level of the deck to help navigate the campus.

From points north on I-95, take exit 27 (I-495 West), then follow the directions "from the Capital Beltway (I-495)." From points south on I-95, take exit 160B (Route 123 North) at Lake Ridge/Occoquan. Follow Route 123 north for approximately 15 miles to Braddock Road. Turn right on Braddock Road. At first signal, turn left on Roanoke River Road.* Bear right at the fork in the road. Take your first left onto Mason Pond Drive to the Parking Deck, the last building on your right. An information kiosk is located outside the third level of the deck to help navigate the campus.

I can give personalized directions to the parking lot of requested from inside mason itself.

best thing to do is pull it up from mapquest, and get on braddock road, and then from braddock road to the parking lot L

Update
Just got of the phone with the Assistant of the GM manager at a mazda dealer(I won't mention any names yet)

He has to get to his boss and discuss it, but
we are working on raffles
and getting a custom painted Miata and a MSP down there!!!

It will be great to finally be able to buy some more Apple Cinnamon Pop Tarts. They don't sell those in NC for some reason. I'll get the NC people organized and i'll try and let you know who all is coming.

UPDATE

Awesome
More people sign up = more stronger case for getting the dealer and the aftermarket shop(which by the way, I am calling daily to check if they wanna come or not)

But not to worry, If they don't come, there is something else which is also FREE!!

It just so happens that in Mason, GMU is working with Cox cable to bring free movies in mason

Basically, it is a drive thru movie, and July 19th is the last night and so, they will be playing Shrek. That movie is FREE

I will go and watch the movie and I was hoping after the meet anybody want to see a good movie would come and join me

It will start at 8:30pm, and it will be fun. Free food AGAIN and drinks.

Hope that just add the the stuff to do on the day

POOL

Ok, due to popular demand, here is what I found out

1. POOLS, and you know who I am talking too!!!!! (you know I am j/king).......but, there is a fitness center which is walking distance to where we are from and I called and checked with them. This is what they said

General Public are allowed for the whole day at the pool for $6 only. You will need to bring your own lock because they do not issue keys in the locker room.

This pool is consisted of three parts
1. one major swimming area
2. just hanging out area
3. hot whirl pool

If there are any questions hit me back through pm

Usually through the summer, there are no people in the pool, so it will be all for us, especially on Saturday summer!!!

Update and re-capping

Okay, first I will recap everything again for everybody

The meet known as MJM(mid July meet) will be held on
Saturday July 19th
starting at 10am
in George Mason University (GMU)
parking lot L
infront the West side of the Patriot Center.
There will be signs all over mason directing to the parking lot

There will FREE BBQ, but Donations are most welcome

The Fairfax browns mazda dealer WILL be there!!
There will be a car or two, and some raffles!

After the BBQ, we have the following options

1.either go to the pool and chill
2.or go to university mall theater and see a movie and eat
3.hang out til lthe night and see a free drive in movie and watch shrek!

I would like to see everybodys car in the night, so if possible, could every body could stay till dusk!!

(p.s. There MIGHT be another shop coming, cross fingers)

NOTICE : there will be other cars other than mazda coming, not alot though. So be cool down there. Invite mazda drivers all around. It should be a strong mazda family down there

Due to costs..... and the BBQ being free,

Each member is limited to 3 sandwiches. We will have Burgers, and Hotdogs

There will be drinks, water and tables in the shade
There will be plates, napkins and trashcans

NO RACES
NO TRASHING
NO DRINKING

There will be some cops(campus) patrolling the area and some students for summer classes

However, the area we are in is at the far end of the campus, BUT, we are still in campus.

So basically, be in your best behaviour and have a good time

1 week and a little bit to go.....see you then!
