eh, the bi-moto audi TT is nicer. If any of you have ever been to waterfest you'd know that twin-engine and rear-engine corrado/golfs are relatively common. Moving an engine to an opposite end of a car has dire effects on it's handling. Obvious.

Umm, Yeah, cause the extra weight in the order of 600 Lbs would be so great.. Tell you what, take 3 People (Big Guys) and throw them in the back of your car. There, you have just made the worlds first Sport 20 conversion..



I understand the desire to make a challenging goal. Believe me, the 944 is going to be a challenge. But the end result of the project is a very much better than stock 944. I don't see how adding 600 Lbs and two more tires spinnning is a good thing.

It's called Tuneing, not "Reducing Performance".

because those three big guys aren't producing any extra horsepower. add that to the weight you loose by removing all the creature comforts in the back, and the end result is still enticing. at least in my opinion. it's just simple math. if you tune both engines to put out 200hp over the stock 130, then you'll have 400hp (whp will be less, but meh), which is more than 3x as powerful as stock. but since you are only increasing the weight by less than 25% instead of 300%, you will be going much faster than stock.

and like i said, it would be an interesting engineering feat, doesn't mean it'll smoke your 944 or anybody else's little tuner car. it would, however, be much more interesting and unique.

Creature comforts in the back? Yeah, that back seat weighs 150 lbs, and that carpet must weigh another 60 lbs (boom07), and the cement in the spare tire......

Nobody is going to do this. These cars are fast enough if built right like many of us are doing - turbo, built engine, etc. and make 300 streetable whp (500 whp if you are a crazy bastard like Big Timm). You don't need two damn engines.

I would rather see you just put a 500 shot of nitrous on the stock block for the P5 science project. It is a lot cheaper than the two engined flying car being talked about here.
