"other things" - I'm guessing that would include forged internals, an LSD, Fuel pump, and more. Sounds like you might as well do a complete engine/tranny rebuild/swap. Now that sounds like something Perf proposed a while ago; imitation is the sincerest flattery.

Note the word "Guessing"? I am very particular about word usage and sentance structure. While I may not always follow conventional grammar, I do make a point of being selective in word usage.

Yes, the microtech is actualy a pretty badass little standalone. I fully intend to have one on the Rx7 once I get the $$ to complete my turbo setup, and those are stupid picky when it comes to turning.


I am just waiting to see how a full standalone helps out on the protege's. I don't think I've yet to see one, other than a Link system..

I wont even respond to the nonsense i read here. not even at the nonsense that kooldino is righting.
It seems to me that micah has learned alot about tuning the past the few weeks and is asking questions and making comments about a product he isnt sure about.
He isnt getting ANYTHING for free. Trust me. He just happens to be a bright individual who thinks about the consequenses of his actions before buying a product that wont fit his needs.

Just for the record fellas we have two different products. We are in no way in competion with each other for this unit. I have a piggyback unit and terrys is a standalone. These are two different
machines. Never mind the price is WAY different. For those who want to go that route they need to be educated on what they are buying and feel comfortable with it.
For all others they will go with something that maybe suits there needs a little better.

And if anyone has any doubts on my product and anything i offer , all the speculation and bullsh*t will end very soon.

theres the thread that is dated 06/09/03 and it says that your product would be available the next monday...dude, its like a month and a half already, and nothing....im sorry, but im in sales and i know the biggest pile of shiet is when a vendor (such as myself for the things i sell) PROMISES something and doesnt put out...if you werent positive it would be out the next monday, then why say it? i really dont think what i said to micah was nonsense because he really didnt think of what he was saying before he said it...i was really excited when i heard about your product and i was ready to drop some cash, but nothing....if you read my post it says...jp, sorry, i should have put just playing? and the thing about free stuff was just being sarcastic, playing around, but i guess this forum has to be all serious and sheit....

oh well, now that thats over, terry, is there any way of getting the microtech faster? maybe shipping direct to me, or ill even buy the one you used to test out your car!!! hahaha, im desparate! are you only putting in the order after you get 10 orders for it, or will you order it once we send the money...one by one...its gonna suck if you wait for the 10 because it seems like a lot of people want it, but dont have the funds...i want mine now, and will pay whatever to get it sooner....let me know man...thanks

The funds are not the issue, I think a lot of people are waiting for the final result. I do trust it will be spectacular, but prior to a $1,800.00 commitment I want to make sure that is all I will need. Oh, and by the way... HURRY UP TERRY!

We intially went to the dyno and got some numbers however not everything was optimal. We have been waiting for space believe it or not to dyno. This is a new 4wd dyno and the guy is booked
I will keep everyone updated, I am extremely anxuois to get this rolling as well. We have all waited way to long for this

If you think about it, Terry has been comming out with his Mircotech for sometime too. I remember there were times when he said it would be a month or 2, and here it is now July. Explanation? These things just can't be cranked out in a week. They have to be mapped, tuned, tested, and re-tested to make sure all is well with the units. Be patient man, it will pay off.

Im very sure the Microtechs are there. I think he is just addressing issues that will annoy any of us..for example:

stalling issue on idle
cold starts
hot starts
coils issue
tunning on different injectors, pump, etc...

Anyway I have no other choice, my engine repair process has been a pain in the ass because Im trying to take all issues at the same time I repair the engine. Cost is prohivite to me for now.
Damn!

His latest kits are damn awesome, so...I hope the best for Terry.

Does the microtech connect to the laptop via serial or printer port? Also, do we need the laptop adaptor for it to work or is that an extra item for tuning purposes? In other words, if I want to switch between maps and monitor/log data with the microtech software, do I need to cash in another $100 for the adaptor?

If you think about it, Terry has been comming out with his Mircotech for sometime too. I remember there were times when he said it would be a month or 2, and here it is now July. Explanation? These things just can't be cranked out in a week. They have to be mapped, tuned, tested, and re-tested to make sure all is well with the units. Be patient man, it will pay off.

I don't disagree w/ you, BUT, if I were a vendor I wouldn't claim such an optimistic release date because of the reasons you specified.

Keola does have a point though. Someone saying that "the system will be out in a few days", yet a month and a half go by and there's still no release of it definitely isn't making you look good.

While Terry has done similar things with saying "the Microtech will be out in a couple of months" and it wasn't released in that time frame, it's not as much as a let down since it wasn't as much of an overly optimistic ETA.

So anyway, I guess my point is that if you're going to publicly give an ETA of a product, make sure it's realistic enough to give yourself enough time to go through some BS while getting it out. You're only going to frustrate people, let them down, and damage your image if you don't.

i dont disagree with you here, but then again, i take it even worse when someone trys to "jack" someone elses thread by putting things about their item on here.....the reason why i responded in the first place was to get some info, yet mock what that micah guy was trying to do....which was make terry look bad...when this thread was started to inform us about a product that all of us have been waiting for... im not a trouble maker, i just hate it when people do things like that, and i take personal attacks pretty bad too, hehehe

This is very true, but, what we have seen here is what I call, human enthusiasm. There is alot of hype about the systems, everybody is asking questions.

And we all know that those people is doing all their efforts to launch their products.

I hope all the people that is talking s*** about release date, to be the first people to go and buy it, or at least have a deposit on the systems or in some way helped this people with this. If not, let it go for once. We are all human, I think, aren't you?

Update:
Numbers should be out soon! We are just waiting to get on the dyno! The car is currently being daily driven in Miami with excellent results! Hopefully we will not need a tranny soon
