Any news from the testers, or have they received their units yet?

The two testers just received the units today! One is waiting on parts and the other is doing an engine rebuild so there won't be any results till maybe the end of this month begining of next month. Will keep everyone updated!!!

If you want one I can work out getting you one. There may still be "problems" that we haven't gotten worked out 100% yet as that is what Dave and John get to deal with (evil). But otherwise I'll sell you one if you want it!

Depends.. do you need to drive it in the next week? But honestly you have everything you need to get up and running right now. You may end up without a tach, but that's about it.

The thread called "wiring your EMS" has the basics for you guys spelled out in it already. I'm working on the other document but it is turning into a small knovel. I'm already at 2.5 pages single spaced and I've only done the ignition coils . I'm being very "thorough" and explaining two different ways to wire it at all times... so. it'll get long but it is EASY!

also, Dave mentioned that he has his microtech spliced in on his stock water temp sensor and the stock ECU and the EMS got along fine. I'm a little surprised by that, but if it is true, that's great and you can do that as well. Otherwise, it's just a matter of getting another OEM sensor and making a spot for it to go.

So you are saying that the Microtech reads the stock sensors correctly?

Yes, you don't replace ANY stock sensors.

The only two concerns we have are the alternator and the tachometer. Everything else works just fine we know for sure. Both of those I understand the problems for, and if they do show up we have workarounds we will be trying out and testing. Then once that is proven out, we are 100% ready to go. So honestly if Keola's installation goes well and he is up and running NA in a couple weeks we are all set and Microtech's will officially be fore sale. Those workarounds however effect pricing and that is why no official price has been released other than to say that it most likely will be under 1400.

Should actually have a rather good idea in either in the next 2 days to the next 2 weeks. The installation manual is done as far as wiring/install. Just haven't finished the setup portion. Not too bad of a document. Only about 7 pages of instructions and that is with everything spelled out completely.

Well good news bad news... the car is up and idling and tuneable at this point. We are trying to sort out the alternator still, so that is moving along. The car runs decent and is starting up with out a problem. We got sidetracked with a crazy problem that ended up being the IAC's fault. That is taken care of and now the car purrs nicely. Schedules have been hectic as hell, but John and Dave have been patient and we are making progress. Should be in great shape by the end of the weekend we hope!

They are... The MPI is working, but I have always wanted to evolve to a stand alone, and my chance may be in a couple of weeks!
