Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and 4S are performance tires with very low-profile ratio from 45 ~ 35. You're not going to find 225/55R19 size to fit CX-5 GT stock wheels. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and 4S are expensive ($220 ~ $400 each) and treadwear rating is low (UTQG 300 A AA) which means it most likely lasts only 30,000 miles. No CX-5 owners would choose such tires for a compact CUV.

these tires perform very well and are extremely quiet and comfortable for a high performance tire. great performance in the rain.

I'm sure treadwear is not the best, but if you demand some actual performance from your tire, then you shouldnt care.

with that being said, Yokohama tires are the best tuned to Mazda and that would be the best choice for your car, if you even even find performance tires in such a size.

CX-5 GT 225/55R19 tires are on 19" x 7.0" JJ factory wheels which are very narrow for the size like a "pizza cutter". Not much you can do for wider tires to fit these factory wheels. Larger diameter tires normally require wider aftermarket wheels. And that will change the number of revolutions per mile on road tires hence affect the accuracy of the speedometer、odometer、and many other functions based on this data.

No, dont go any more then 225 width on a 7inch rim.

I suppose you can use this Pirelli P ZERO (PZ4) 235/50R19 to fit our factory 19" wheel. My question is does this very expensive ($302.52 each) maximum performance summer tire fit our CX-5 which is a compact CUV? With this tire you don't get much visual benefit from the size, and the performance from tires is wasted due to the limitation from factory suspension setup and the fact it's a CUV. With 220 AA A UTQG the tire would last about 22,000 miles. I would save the money for suspension mod to gain some performance from there with visual benefit to boot. This Pirelli tire simply doesn't fit for a CUV.

The best tires for your Mazda is Yokohama. They are extremely well tuned to the chassis and provide very precise steering feel, predictable handling and excellent traction in rain. Id recommend taking a look at the advan sport, S drives and avid envigors. Very good tires.
