if you still have it when i get money i will
how much boost are you running at currently?
Then big badda boom...big bada boom. lol Thankgod for the added knock resistance of forged pistons. Although I don't think it's good for the engine nonetheless.you might run the risk that if meth doesn't work properly you might get big time knock depending on your gas map and afr
Anyone find the "button" on the back of the AEM wideband? I haven't found it yet and only see a small whole in the back of mine. I have the Digital display like the one you posted Sam. Can you take some shots of what it looks like? Maybe I have an older version since I bought it used and already a few years old. Sensor was replaced though.the aem does display lambda, only the digital ones though!

these can switch to lambda via some knob at the back of the gauge
That doesn't seem to make sense. Isn't the best power obtained from a 12.5:1 air/fuel ratio with pure gasoline (12:1 with 10% ethanol)? As mentioned earlier in this thread stoich for methanol is even lower so you'd think peak power would be made at a lower air/fuel ratio. I'm going to try like Sam said and shoot for 11.9:1 whenever I finally get this installed.read labonte's manual and they say you can go as much as ~13.5 afr lean and adding meth #% while watching AFR gauge you can "try and see" type of approach if it knocks then you can pump more gas and have same map for meth and try it again to check for knock , if not you take some more gas and so on.
The whole idea is to reach a place that knock is not present but you might run the risk that if meth doesn't work properly you might get big time knock depending on your gas map and afr.
I'm gonna write back on my experience sometime this summer![]()
