My car is stock accept for the boost gauge. It used to go to about 7-8lbs now its going to 15-20lbs. Once it gets past 10psi it bucks like it wants to toss me out of the car. It doen't matter the weather temp. I changed the spark plugs which 2 were blown. That didn't help. Vaccum lines are all fine. What else could it be??? I just want it back to normal.

you probably have a loose or torn vac line go check all the vacs and see if any are brittle or torn replace those and recheck, good luck.

bad wastegate? do me a favor though.... I was little disappointed when I found out that this thread was actually in relation to a car.

Well the bucking is probably fuel cut. Are you triple sure the vacuum lines are fine, particularly the one that goes to the bov/wastegate? They have been known to become brittle and crack. You'd have to check along the whole length of them, from intake manifold to T-fitting, to BPV, and to wastegate actuator. You could even try disconnecting the manifold side of the line and blowing in it to see if it holds pressure. It's probably easier to simply replace them than to do a thorough check. If it's not them then I'd say you need a new wastegate actuator, but I've not heard of one failing ever.

Meanwhile I'd lay off the boost until you get this figured out before you blow your engine. BTW, what do you mean two spark plugs were "blown"?

Thanx for your input. This whole thing is so aggravating especially when the cash flow is very limited.

Hey! Just noticed that you are in Baltimore.

Sounds like some sort of vacuum problem. Could be on the boost gauge side. I'm over in Pasadena, if you want I can take a look at the problem. Where are you at?
