Im looking into getting a MBC.It seems I dont know what one to get.Its between the JoeP,TurboSmart Tee inline,and Accuboost.I just want a single stage under the hood adjustment.I know Ive read good things about the turbosmart but I dont know anything about the joep and accuboost.Is the JoeP and accuboost a ball and spring type?
Any info would be great..

im running the turbosmart. I love it because it doesnt spike, the main reason i got it. The last thing i need is 25psi spikes. Before the mbc my car was spiking 19 in 6th and hold 13. Now it spiking 19 and holding 17 lol.
 
Thanks..After some more reading it seems people are having problems with over boost on the JoeP so I may count that one out.

So what does the turbo smart have that makes it not spike? I may just get the atp and mbc to deal until pnp comes down the line..
 
I'm unsure of what makesthe turbosmart not spike, I just know that a lot of people like them.
When I owned my turbo integra, pretty much everybody on the honda forums recommended the turbosmart manual boost gauge. Of course I didnt go with it, and I got a turboxs and it spiked like crazy, but I learned my lesson.

I've just heard a lot of good things about turbosmart.
That, as well as the Hallman? I think its called.
 
forge is the best i have used. and I have tried them all. The forge holds the most boost to redline. My car spikes 20psi and holds 18psi hard as a rock in 3rd thru 5th. No matter what anyone tells you a mbc will spike on a small turbo. THATS A FACT
 
Thanks for the replys all..TurboSmart it is because of price,The forge is nice too but its $30 more.Im not going to order for a few days tho so I may change my mind.
 
Does anyone know where I can get the atp bcd and the turbosmart mbc from the same place?Im having a hard time finding any.

*************.com has the ATP BCD, I worked with a 'Rob' there when I got my a-pillar single pod for my Prosport boost gauge. I think he's the owner; they were at NOPI when I called him, lol.

BTW, let me know/keep me updated via pm on this? I want to do a MBC as well, and since you're not far from me, perhaps we'd buy them and put them on together? Just a thought - whatcha think? I'm waiting on a short shifter and custom boots, myself.

If you dont have a problem driving to my house we could do it together.I work 6-7 days a week but will take a day off on Sun. or Sat. to do this job.I dont have time to drive to indy.Im thinking about ordering this stuff in the next few days and want to get it installed before it gets cold outside.
Also I dont think the MBC is that bad of a idea as long as you watch your settings and make small adjustments.Im just wanting to run 18-19 psi and that will have probly a 20-21psi spike maybe so It should be fine Im thinking.This is a much cheaper way to get power then a ems and since the AP isnt out this will hold me over till next year somtime.
 
protege garage has the ATP piece, and they are also a FORGE dealer. they dont stock that MBC, but they can get it for you !
 
I just talked to Ken and he put the forge Mbc on the web site.I think I will just order both from them now..Thanks
 
Newb question - does MBC get around the boost limit in 1st and 2nd? I thought a read somewhere that you still don't get full boost in 1st and 2nd. Is that because of some other limiter or is the ECU still taking over? I hate the boost limit in 1st and 2nd.
