I run 94 octane sunoco and have been for the life of the car. At 12 psi I heard no knock at all. I've also seen posts where people get knock at 10 and up to 12 psi. jersey_emt ran into a situation where he spiked to 13 and heard knock. 10psi is safer and 9-9.5 should yield no problems. I'm gonna keep it at 10psi just for safety. I have MBC,Intake,Exhaust,Spool FMIC,the colder ngk plugs (extended reach) and upgraded magnecor igition wiring.

Yup the stock wastegate hose cracked, and boost went up to 14+ psi. Pinging was heard with 93 octane gas in 90 degree weather. No fuel cut. At the time I didn't have my downpipe installed.
I was only at that high of a boost for maybe a second tops, pinging was heard for only a tiny fraction of that.
Scary, but GOD DAMN did it feel good. I can't wait until my warranty expires...boost boost boost! Or I'm going to at least wait until 35K miles or so...I need to make sure there's nothing wrong with the engine before I void my warranty by upping the boost!
