MazdaSpeed6 Demo Price

Hi Guys,
I have a pretty good deal on Mazdaspeed6 GT. I am bit hesitant since it was a demo version for one of Mazda's executive or something, and then it was sold at auction. Do you know if it safe to buy such a car from the dealer? Why would they sell it so cheap?

Thanks.

You might have hit the nail on the head yourself. Like you said, it was a demo unit. (could) have been thrashed and abused, or could have been just a daily A to B commuter for the "exec". No real way to know I suppose. Elaborate on cheap, then maybe some ms6 owners can chime in and help a little better...

dont do it, look around, you can get great prices rightnow for them. I picked one up at month ago, for 6500.00 off the msrp.

LPM SPEED 6 GT with sunroof, and electronic mirror. with 5 miles on the clock.

just look around the dealers and tell them what you want and the price you are willing to pay for it.

Test drive it yourself. If it's cheap enough, go for it. Even if it was driven hard on, depending on the mileage, it might not matter. It's like when you buy a used car, you cannot assume it was not thrashed. It's not gonna die on you

Mine was supposedly a "executive-owned" car, whatever it is. It's a certified pre-owned unit, fancy way of saying used but with extra powertrain warranty.

So far my speed6 has been good to me, i mean, seems to be running strong *touchwood* mechanically...I have warranty to back me up, not to say i'm fond of warranty work (time wasted)

Like others said, look around and test drive to make sure you're happy with it...and check for previous warranty work too ?

Thanks a lot for all your replies! I finally got one. Not demo one. $21,000, GT, 5,900 miles plus extended warranty. I think I got a good deal comparing to the deals I saw before. Just drove 2,500 miles on it. A lot of fun!

Like everybody else said. I bought a demo MS protege, one of the general managers drove it. It worked out for me since he drove it it never got the reflash to it, but I never had any problems with the car the two years I owned it. So depends on price and as long as you have the warranty.

"demo model", "executive driven" ......hmmm I wonder what they call the cars when they sell them after zoom zoom live. Could be a possibility

I was in a similar situation when I bout my ms6 in june. The odometer had 240 miles on it... I personally haven't noticed any problems. In any case congrats on the purchase and have fun!
