Mazdaspeed3 vinyl kits?

I for one kinda like the 'mazdaspeed' vinyl. Think orange would suit my blue mica better, though. Nice yellowy-orange.

I'm in agreeance with the "non-vinyl" train of thought. My point is that i personally don't want or need people to know what kind of car i drive. So a huge sticker brandishing it means nothing to me. I'm not out there to teach every ricer a lesson on companies. Basically, if you don't know the difference between a MZ3 and a MS3, i'm not going to "enlighten you" with a huge vinyl on my car. Those people aren't worth my time anyway.

honestly dude....im not trying to be a dick and make enemies here but why do you put a giant sticker saying the name of the car. its like when you see some deustche put a big toyota name tag on the windshield and a huge toyota symbol on the rear window. i think it looks tacky and classless.

That's just what we do....we like to make our cars stick out more than others. Some people go for the sleeper/stealth look, which isn't bad at all. If you wear womens underwear should we call you out on it and ask "why, why, why"? No, i'm saying that getting a vinyl on your car is like going to a tattoo shop and getting a piece of flash done on your bicep. There's is not much originality to that. One can make their car stand out without making it flashy. Try engine mods and interesting paint jobs. I enjoy originality as much as the next, but Vinyl is a hypocrisy in and of itself because you are taking a pre-made sticker and throwing it on your car, which BTW, can be removed and changed w/o much effort. It's like having a Mr. Potato head car.

well according to the vinyls theory i should advertise it right? if someone next to me wears womens underwear then their just wearing womens underwear, which is ok but, im going to wear a vinyl to show people whats up. im going to sponsor the wearing of womens underwear with a nice vinyl. i just think its unnecessary to tag your car with the name of your car.

the thing with this is the people that know something about cars know one car from the next car. are you really trying to educate the public to watch out for the mazdaspeed? the only people that would care are the people that pretty much know already. about 80% of the public doesnt care. the other 10% dont care about imports. and the other 10% are us importers who know already or will find out eventually. so why vinyl the crap out of your car? thats my take on it.

First off, none of the vinyl was "pre-made". Every piece was created in Adobe illustrator and made to blend well together (rollcall). The Mazdaspeed was hand created from scratch by me just by looking at pictures of other smaller symbols.

And if there is no originality in it, where are all the other cars running around like mine? The only thing unoriginal is leaving it stock looking.

You said engine mods and interesting paint jobs... Engine mods cannot be seen unless you are blantantly showing them off and interesting paint jobs are not cheap. I have a family and a budget, otherwise modding would be easy. Like I said, I have $70 in vinyl and about $300 in powdercoating... and that was pushing it...

You let me know if you can make your car stand out as much for less than $370

Well, i could take a dead chicken carcass and put it on the roof and then duct tape a garden hose above all the wheel wells for under 70.00$. My point is there are a lot of things you can do for cheap to make your car look original but, i don't feel that vinyl is a good addition.

first off...

...how many people do you know outside the mazda community that actually know what a mazdaspeed is? I'll bet very few. Our car is basically a hatch with subtle changes.... so subtle infact, most people would overlook them.

second off,

In the end, your car will just be another "hatch".. If anyone here saw mine on the road, they would immediately know exactly who's it is and what it is...

Weak, I'm sick of people posting on these forums and then as soon as someone says something contoversial or they are against what the person has done, we are all assholes. It's your choice to post on here and when you do, you open yourself up for critisism that may not be "constructive." Everyone here has a lot of pride in this brand and we usually do not want people doing things to their cars that make them look ricey, weird or cheap. If we went by your ideas every freaking thread would be "oh, well, as long as you like it it looks fine." or "it's your car do what you want." This is a forum, and we are going to state our opinions and to be honest. i don't think the the kid with the vinyls is going to change his car becuse of us so he really doesn't need any defense from you. I'm speaking for him now but i assume that he posted knowing full well that he may not get the best critiques of his ride.

One, this isn't my thread, it's some guy asking about vinyl... I posted in response to him.

Two, I'm no kid, I've been married over 7 years... although I do feel like a kid... on occasion when my back isn't going out... LOL

Three, I don't need a defense, you're correct as I've made up my mind long ago and I fully understand that everyone doesn't have the same taste as me.. I did post fully aware of critisizm and have recieved a fair share from here other forums and friends, but that doesn't distract me one bit.

I do however, appreciate someone being able to see the car the way I do and accept it for what it is.

Either way, there's no reason to squabble... people will post their opinions, good and bad and debates aren't a bad thing, lets just keep them under control...

I think your car is tastefully done. Good move getting rid of the DFWMazdas sticker though. I like what you did with the wheels.

Everyone does things for different reasons. People on here drool over Pirana's MSP. But I doubt everyone was keen on his P5.
