miguel, what would you do if you blow the block? as in putting a baseball sized hole on the side?

Damn Daniel It looks like your wanting that s*** to happen, you dont stop saying the same s*** You should feel proud you putted my engine together and car did 474.8 Whp caught on tape and 515whp and 409 lbs torque without a video, The Engine still holding strong and it will to the end theres no damn reason to have a Hole a size of a damn basketball, if that s*** happens Ill buy, import a Block and sell the car and move on to my next dream car in case you dont know

Ford Shelby Cobra GT-500 KKR Super Snake !!

you're going to a really thin cylinder wall with your latest overbore, and then trying to throw no less than 100hp over what broke it last time... Theres a real likelyhood that something is gunna give... thats your "damned reason" for it...

doesn't matter how good your s*** is...if you push it too far, and something lets go, it will tear a hole in your block...

I *honestly* believe, that if you dial the power BACK - you'll have a faster car because you'll get some decent traction for once (having a useful 400 is better than blowing the tires off it at 500, and liquifying them at 600).

That, and your car will be vastly more reliable and last you forever... spend more time wasting euro pasta rockets, and less time looking at your car in pieces..

Thank You for your advices they are highly appreciated.. When i say i want to have 600 HP doesn't mean i will run 600 HP everytime i drive the car, i can have 600 HP and then on an everyday thing just run 500whp like i have all these months or less. I just want to have the highest HP Street Driven Protege for the record and ofcourse im doing this for my self not to prove anything to anybody and much less to say my s*** is faster than yours you know is just a personal thing i have with this car..

There is a 323 In PR with an FS Engine putting 758whp and 45 PSI of boost and that s*** still together gaping lots of others cars asses so. If they were able to get there why i'm not going to be able to have 600whp ? you Know..

Methanol - to start with (and not methanol injection, straight up methanol fuel). If not that, leaded race gas, both of which burn cooler and resist detonation more than unleaded gas.

Add to that those 700+ hp engines are DRAG ONLY motors, they are started, they run 1/4 mile, they are stopped....and they are likely stripped after every meet or so...

that's the kind of company you are trying to keep. Thats why everyone here is ragging on you saying "you're building a race car"...

I honestly take my hat off to you for having the balls to try and do this, but seriously, don't delude yourself into thinking that just because the engine *can* produce that kind of power, doesn't mean its a good idea to build one to do it and expect it to be a daily driver.

Also, as far as I'm aware, you ARE the only person who is driving around a 500+ hp protege on the street...... so you've already got your goal....

and please stop talking about "gapping asses"....

hAhaha.. Thanks Man. I won't lol lol lol

So all High Outut FS motors are located outside of USA???

OK so aside from your set up and the Idgrasial setup in PR, all others are hanging in around 300hp corect.

Just want to see who is still out on these streets with the protege's cause i have a set up pushing some good numbers but nothing in paper so i wont post nothing until i make it back to the dyno and prove that all is real.

LONG LIVE THE 3rd GEN Protege!!!!!

LordWorm is right man, you need to lower your goal to find that useable power. You might have 600HP one day, but I bet my P5 will still be way faster. Why? BEcause evey last horse that I have is completely useable. I've ran 30+psi like you, and smoked the tires off it. Sure it's fun, but you'll run a 14sec quarter mile if you do that every time.

Really, stop chasing the numbers and start chasing the "fun".

...and move on to my next dream car in case you dont know

Ford Shelby Cobra GT-500 KKR Super Snake !!

Hahaha....okay I'm really confused. That is a pretty badass mustang considering it has over 700 hp from the factory, but how could you go from a great handling MSP with WAY too much power...to an overpriced Mustang with WAY too much power and bad handling?

Sure as s*** looks like a mustang to me.... KKR returned nothing in google automotive related, so I'm assuming you meant KR.

dare I say it..... pics or it didn't happen?

Let me see if i can find any, i didnt took pics of the one i drove but i aint lying no reason for. That s*** said in the Seats KKR, Super Snake have 2 Performance Packages if not mistaken one of 600 HP and another with 725 HP that dont come with any warranty, the one i drove was the 725 HP model. Either Way KKR or KR that s*** is gorgeous and insanely fast the torque is so crazy i felt in love with it right after i had to turn the keys back to the guy and promise my self one day i will own one, just like i did with my MSP.
