Don't bother with the "wide body" fenders. It looks UBER dumb. The brakes though are a must. I'm running 13.1" directionally vented rotors and six piston calipers (i think you've seen them?) it's a one off Wilwood setup for the protege. The 13" rotors on the rear I found to be too much. There's not nearly enough weight in the back to make them even close to effective, even with EBFD... Some nice rotors and grippy pads out back are more than sufficient, ubnless you add another 8-900 lbs over the back wheels! :D

I'am not doing a wide body kit, these people does something to the fenders that you can use wider wheels and tires. you can't barely see it from outside..

the REAL question is, what kinda tires do you plan on using? 600hp on a fwd is going to have a shitload of wheel spin....

^^+1

I was also wondering how u were going to put all those 600* ponies on the ground. Slicks?

You can see my 0-150 MPH video on streetfire.net and tell me if you notice or see any traction problems and that's with 474whp thats is equal to 546 HP... i'm also using cheap tires Nankangs, i know if i put something like Nittos i'll have way more traction.... i do have also in mind i'll be jumping from 546 to 690 HP that are around 600whp

like i said before your car is sick, i cant wait to see what its going to end up like, your speed is a damn good protege representative for here or europe haha

Ah... It's the stock HP's that do it. The MSP's lower perch in the rear is 1.2" higher than regular HP's right from tokico.

The Engine is off the car, I'm waiting for Doc B for their complete oil system prices, as well as some parts i'm buying from here, there etc, I need to have all of the necesary parts before doing any work to the engine block. I need the pistons, bearings, custom head gasket and more stuff we are doing. I haven't been able to go to the shop to take pics of the car at the shop and the engine off the car.. I'll update this thread sometime this week...

Excuse me, I have to go change my underwear now.

Beautiful build. I can't wait to see it done. Maybe one day my baby will be at that point....

I tell you something, its awesome to see someone push this car's performance limits. I mean your essentially setting the benchmark as to what you are able to do with platform when done correctly.

On a side note what gear was that Dyno done at? And did I just see that speedo get pinned.....lol? Maybe after this build you should look into a gear set better suited to your powerband.

That Dyno pull was done in 5th Gear, because in 4th gear car were breaking loose started to spin tires like crazy, they were trowing coca cola and pineapple juice to make the rolls stickier but we couldn't. That's why you see a little lag before the turbo kicked in if you notice the speedometer went all the way down to 170 MPH on stock gear ratio. also on first post you can also see that we are going to modify the gears as well with a combination of shorter and longer ratios on specific gears and needs. This people makes World Rallye cars engines and transmissions, they make LSD's Gears etc.... This is a project that might take longer than my first one but with higher and better results.. TBK did a good job because even without doing the work better than what they did we were able to push this baby to the 500whp Mark for 2 consecutive years without blowing or breaking the engine, But this time we are going to do better what TBK didn't with better results, higher numbers and the most important thing to make it more reliable for the amount HP we are shooting for, This car was daily driven before and will be daily driven as well with more Horsepower, basically we are going to build a Track Racing car to be driven on the streets like i have mentioned several times before... If you guys believe in dreams this right here is my 2nd one !!
