Good luck and keep us posted! Pics-pics-pics!!

Thanks, Highly appreciated.. yeah I will take tons of pictures and lot's of info during the process, sadly to see your speed go, but the good part is that until i can i won't give up and i'll keep representing all of my brothers and sisters that owns or ever owned a Protege, not only including the MPS's....

That Dyno pull was done in 5th Gear, because in 4th gear car were breaking loose started to spin tires like crazy, they were trowing coca cola and pineapple juice to make the rolls stickier but we couldn't. That's why you see a little lag before the turbo kicked in if you notice the speedometer went all the way down to 170 MPH on stock gear ratio. also on first post you can also see that we are going to modify the gears as well with a combination of shorter and longer ratios on specific gears and needs. This people makes World Rallye cars engines and transmissions, they make LSD's Gears etc.... This is a project that might take longer than my first one but with higher and better results.. TBK did a good job because even without doing the work better than what they did we were able to push this baby to the 500whp Mark for 2 consecutive years without blowing or breaking the engine, But this time we are going to do better what TBK didn't with better results, higher numbers and the most important thing to make it more reliable for the amount HP we are shooting for, This car was daily driven before and will be daily driven as well with more Horsepower, basically we are going to build a Track Racing car to be driven on the streets like i have mentioned several times before... If you guys believe in dreams this right here is my 2nd one !!

All I can say is wow...

hey Miguel! I wish the best for round 2! That list is KILLER!(drive)

Thanks bro.. I'am pretty sure everything is going to come up awesome, these people are real professional with proper machines and s*** load of knowledge on making regular car street killers.. I think after this i'm going to completely stop putting money on this car, my last thing will be 14" Racing brakes, and my Pro sound system i have to install still and i'll be done.. no Round 3 ....

consider upgrading to the EDM throttle body for better control of the beast!
the EDM throttle body is a progressive type (the USDM/JDM is linear) which is better for a high torque application... it opens slower at the lower range and then faster at the higher range... this allows for better low speed control and definitely easier launches... this is why we don't have europeans complaining about the low speed bucking problem that's common in the protege.... a progressive throttle body is a common mod for the high power domestic guys, for obvious reasons ;)

you will need the matching EDM throttle cable too of course... and possibly the cable bracket also

if you want to port the throttle body, do so by flow testing it WITH the throttle plate CLOSED *before* doing any work to it... there will always be some air that goes past the cracks of the throttle plate... make note of those flow numbers as you will need to recalibrate the stopper screw to match those figures once you port it out, or you will NEVER have a properly working idle... the autoexe throttle body I have was done this way.... the labor time involved is why it is so expensive!

PM me if you have more questions

TBK Performance did a Port and Polish work to 60mm to my throttle body but the one you are talking about sounds pretty interesting.. can you post the detail and link if you can here...

google it and you'll see pics of it for other engines... there's pics of the euro FS-DE one on the UK board

Good luck on the build and for christ's sake this time get an AWR oil pan! LOL!

Serious though, get one, but don't use the pickup spacer it comes with. Its smooshes the oil pickup too far into the pan.

That is included already along with DOC B oil pump and the rest of the stuff, if i can't use the pick up spacer from AWR what should i use then Maxx ?

Use nothing just attach the pickup as normal. The pickup spacer puts the pickup TOO far into the pan, and when you tighten the pan it crushes the pickup screen and actually restricts flow.

That is good to know. Also does the AWR comes with all necessary stuff for just bolt on ? I've also heard of Leaking problems, do they come with a gasket or what do you use to seal it.. Thanks... what are also the real benefits from using this OIL PAN, I mean i know you can use 1.5 quarts of oil more but....
