Mazdaspeed Springs or Eibach Prokit???

Don't even get me started about bad roads. Somehow, the nicest roads around here have developed crater-like cracks in the grooves between each section of cement, and they're opening in an area where it's unavoidable unless you "pac-man" the road and drive almost completely in the center. It's getting pretty ridiculous man, i'm terrified to put my summer wheels and tires back on with these roads. And my alignment is coming up soon..

I'm going to send PennDOT an invoice for a new set of shocks. We'll see how that turns out (fight)

I've had the MS springs for the last 35,000 miles. They are great. I just recently replaced them with a set of coil overs. The coilovers are def stiffer and more controlled, the the MS springs did very well and worked perfectly for a daily driver.

Please tell me that you still have the ms springs and that you will sell them to me.

If you did sell them, how much you sell the springs and camber kit for?

I still have them but they are attached to the struts still. They were pulled out as a unit. The camber plates are still on the car. I aligned perfectly with them and the coilovers.

I saw a link to one of your threads that showed pictures of before and after.

But the first 2 pictures are no longer available. Could you repost those pictures here again along with other pictures you may have?

Also are you just keeping the ms springs and stuts for backup if anything ever happened to your coilovers? Thats what I would do if I were you. Let me know if you plan on selling them as I would be interested.

I have 19K on my car with the stock springs/shocks. I am wondering if I put on just springs(Eibach/MS/H&R) with the stock shocks on my daily driven car how long the stock shocks might last? I don't really want to spend 4Xs or more on coilovers if the stock shocks will last for a while...

One step ahead of you Fengrs, lol. I already contacted him. But I may just get these this summer so we'll see.

Doh. Thats fine. I'd rather buy a complete set a springs with the camber links. I'd hate to go buy springs and then go buy some new links for 200.

Seems like not alot of people are selling these two items together. Its usually one or the other. I might was well buy them new together for 385.

I just got my cobb springs in the mail today. Heard some mixed reviews. Anyone have them on their ms3?

mxchaos6, did you end up doing FSDs + pro kit on your speed3? I have the FSDs and am thinking about getting pro kit, but apparently Koni says you shouldn't lower the speed3 AT ALL if you use FSD. anyone have any experience with this combo?

I have a MS3. I am debating whether to get the eibach prokit or the mazdaspeed accessory springs. I have read all about the eibachs but have not heard too much about the mazdaspeed springs.

I have heard from some people that they are the same springs, and also from others that they are not.

Does anyone have before, after pictures of the mazdaspeed accessory springs.

Anyone have experiences or comments with the mazdaspeed accessory springs.

And no, I dont want coilovers right now, just springs and then I'll go with aftermarket struts/shocks later.

my friend with a caliber SRT4 got the eibach and im not sayin theyre the same for everything but if theyre even close......eibach...

This has been mentioned numerous times but warrants being mentioned again. Do not, DO NOT buy lowering springs without more durable shocks/struts. Even Mazdaspeed springs are questionable with OEM dampers at best.

Unlike other platforms, FSD's are not designed not work with Eibach on our platform. This is primarily because our cars have limited suspension travel to begin with. FSD's require as much travel as possible to enable the valve to respond to varying road conditions. Lee Grimes from Koni has mentioned specifically that the FSD warranty applies to stock springs only.

Finally, take it from someone who learned the hard way and get coilovers if you plan to do a moderate drop. Many lowering springs require you to trim the rear jounce bumpers to allow additional, unobstructed travel. However, doing this will prevent you from reusing the dust shields and WILL expose the top of the shock to excess dirt. In my case, I scored the shaft/seal and had to have my shock rebuilt by Bilstein. If you do run exposed rear shocks, at minimum it's recommended to get a cap/washer to protect the rod and seal.
