Mazdaspeed Springs and Dampers

The Mazdaspeed dampers are the same part numbers, so I'd assume they are the same length. You could check the parts department and if the stock ones share the same p/n, then it's 100% confirmed.

How can Mazdaspeed (high performance) damper p/n been the same as OEM?

I am only guessing Mazdaspeed dampers are designed to work with shorter springs like Bilstein Sport.

The JDM Mazdaspeed damper for the Mazda5 and Mazda3, share the same part number as the US Mazdaspeed Mazda3 damper.

I am only guessing Mazdaspeed dampers are designed to work with shorter springs like Bilstein Sport.

I think a better guess would be that they were designed to work with the slightly lower Mazdaspeed springs.

Hey HOTROD,

any changes in the ride quality? the car looks HOT. I want to do it to mine, except use different wheels, I plan on putting on bayson's front and rear lip to match the side skirts. did you notice any change in power with the intake?

Day to day it's very drivable. It's a 'tuned' ride. Stiffer, but not overly stiff.

It's more responsive for sure. More power? It sounds like there is more power under wot! (drive2)
