Does this thing come with any options at all? I just saw a commercial on TSN I believe and it was listed at $35,xxx MSRP. But the dealer here quoted 40K. Mark up?

There's no markup. Base model is $35,995 plus freight, PDI, block heater, and air tax which works out to $37,545. GT model is $38,795 whuch works out to $40,345.

There is rumblings of a second run. I seriously doubt they'd spend the time/money and tooling to set up a production line, and then only produce 12,000 cars worldwide. It is possible that they won't do a second run, but its looking more likely, especially based on the rapid snatching up of the models as they hit dealers.

That's what I thought. It's very unlikely for Canadian dealers to mark up car here. But that block heater is a load of crap. Same with when they try and sell you wheel locks. The block heater is mandatory in Canada and the wheel locks are usually already on the car. What are they going to do remove them?

The decision is supposed to be made in January. The 3 month delay really hurt the chances of a second run. With the new 6 and MS3 coming out for 07 (possibly early summer release) seems unlikely at this point that they will do a second run, but they haven't officially closed that door yet. The technology in the MS6 will be used in other vehicles, so it won't be wasted.(MS3, CX-7, Japanese MPV, possibly a MS5 and MSMX-5 as well.

If you can't make the MS6 work right now Newf, just wait for the MS3 I guarantee it won't disapoint!!(thumb)
where did you hear that the ms3 will be out in 07 ? are yuo saying it will be out summer of 06 ? from what i've heard, people will be lucky to see it by 2008, maybe 2009....

please let me know where you learned this. (coffee)

Block heater is installed at the dealer, they don't come on the car. Its not mandatory. Some dealers in Ontario and B.C. don't install them unless requested.

I have sources high up in Mazda Canada. The MS3 is a go for 07 model year.

Are all 4000 of your posts as useful as this one?

I've proven my info to be accurate on this forum and I usually get it here first. To keep evryone informed. Maybe I'm taking this the wrong way, but it seems like a pitiful attempt to make fun of me, when you really have no clue.(loser)

I posted info on the MS3 for a while now and also that info has been floating around for quite some time. It was a simple question not some smart ass remark. Take it any way you want but if you read any of my other posts I am usually helpfull and any wise remarks I make is just sarcasm, not actually make fun of anyone. Which in any case wasn't the case in that post I made.

lol, what kind of info do you have on the ms3 ? 2.3 liter... turbo... maybe some rims.... ? what is there to know about a car that's not even in production yet ?

there is no rock solid info yet except it is fwd, and it did say what engine but I forgot. the site that had info on it was a mazda site someting like triplezoom.com or something similar. I dont know if it's still there and I dont car to look but you can if you like

So if mazda says it'll be a 2007, that means it'll come out as a 2008 after almost a year of delays :).

I'm hoping because that most of the stuff is in the MS6 that there won't be any delays....lol

With 07 being the 4th year of the M3 and being designated for the Speed treatment, I would expect a refresh of some sort on the M3 for 2008. Which would mean the MS3 has to come out for 07. But, your right....I have every confidence in Mazda to turn a June release into December.:)

one of the dudes I used to work with said that the Rx-8 speed would come out before the MS3, has anyone ever heard anything like that before ?

it continuously varies from 100:0 (fwd) to 50:50 (awd) depending on conditions, it constantly monitors many sensors including wheel speed, throttle position, steering angle, yaw sensor, etc., not only wheel slip.

No wheel locks on mine brother. Fortunately, I have an extra set laying around at home. Not sure about the block heater though. I didn't request one and I haven't actually looked for one either. I'll check tomorrow.
