i love how all of them say that the 2.3l engine seems to have no power above 3k rpm.. i mean i have driven a honda, with v-tech and don't think that it was that more powerful if any above 3k then our mzr...???

If IF the speed3 comes out and it has what my dealer said it will have I would take it in a heart beat. 270+hp awd!

speculation is stupid, but why we're at it...no way mazda will produce the Mazdaspeed 3 with 270hp and awd. By doing this they will kill the Mazdaspeed 6. Mazda is smarter than that.

235 is the number i was fed a while ago.

though its not even just that, ms3 by the look of things with the highboost kit will start pissing off evo's with a mbc!
no offence to the honda owners, but they ARE n/a, meaning there are limits to thier current platform for money to power, where they may spend $300 or whatever for a CAI, the ms3 owners can get more gains with a $60 mbc.


plus its awd, thats just cool.

im going to guess the ms3 is comming with its boost set to 7, the highboost 3 is pushing 10-12 now? and just about hitting 12's in the quarter. and they feel they havent reached the limit yet.

yeah, it is set at lower psi, but they have tested it at up to 14. I believe at 14 psi it even made 370 whp, and at 12 psi it ran a 12.9 quarter mile. And that is just a fwd, awd with this would be amazing

Me and PR54life went test driving about a month ago and the guys at the dealer were telling us they read it in a mazda paper. I don't know if they'll release that version of it but one can hope.

I dont doubt that a mazda dealer told you that, they are ******* idiots. A guy in here had a mazda salesman tell him the mazdaspeed miata is supercharged. When he corrected the salesman, the salesman went inside and talked to his manager and they both said it is supercharged. I have heard numbers that high for the ms6, so maybe they are getting them confused

the ms3 is the main event for the mazdaspeed division, i dont think they're going to think twice about drowning out the ms6. especially considering pricing between the two.

i would buy the ms6 myself, cause its just too secksy. and with a 300+whp motor, i dont think the extra few pounds is gonig to make a differance.
